As the vice president of Stellaris Technologies, she takes the stage at a major product launch to unveil a revolutionary phone camera capable of capturing flawless details from miles away. When a skeptical crowd demands immediate proof of this unprecedented technology, she complies without hesitation. Directing everyone's attention to the massive display screen, she projects a razor-sharp image that stuns the audience: her husband and their business manager caught walking into a hotel together.

I Exposed My Cheating CEO Husband at His Own Product Launch Chapter 1

At the product launch, I took the stage as vice president to deliver the keynote.

"The camera in this phone can capture a human face in crystal-clear detail from over three miles away."

A murmur rippled through the audience.

Someone wasn't buying it and spoke up right there in the crowd.

"The technology you're describing is something no company in the world has achieved."

"Stellaris Technologies is a newcomer. If you want people to believe you, show us actual results."

I gave a noncommittal nod.

"Of course. Please direct your attention to the screen."

The next second, an image filled the display: my husband and our business manager, walking into a hotel together. Every detail was razor-sharp.

……

In the photo, Elmer Mason's features were impossibly clear. You could make out the pores on his skin, even the stray gray hairs on his head.

I began walking the audience through the image in detail.

"I'm sure most of you recognize the two people in this photograph."

"On the left is my husband, Elmer Mason, who also serves as CEO of Stellaris Technologies."

"And on the right is our company's business manager, Lorraine Fox."

The audience exchanged uneasy glances. The venue had gone so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

"This photo was taken from the roof of the Stellaris Technologies building."

"The distance to the hotel is exactly three miles."

More than a few heads turned toward the corner of the room.

A flash of panic crossed Elmer's face before his expression hardened into something cold.

Lorraine, on the other hand, shot to her feet immediately.

"Ms. James, you're doing this on purpose to ruin me!"

"There's nothing going on between Mr. Mason and me!"

I raised an eyebrow, a faint smile on my lips. "When did I ever say there was something going on between you two?"

Lorraine's mouth opened and closed, no words coming out. Beside her, Elmer rose to his feet, his face dark.

"Ms. James, you put that photo up for everyone to see. Clearly you're implying something about me and Manager Fox."

"If you have something to say, say it directly."

"There's no need for these petty little games behind our backs."

He was still so composed. I continued.

"You're right. I do want to take this opportunity to ask what exactly the two of you were doing there."

The crowd was starting to sense something was off.

But instead of discomfort, faces lit up with the unmistakable glee of spectators settling in for a show. A few people even called out from their seats.

"Is this some kind of new guerrilla marketing strategy?"

"If it is, you have to admire the commitment."

"I don't think it's real either. Probably just a stunt to go viral."

Elmer responded smoothly, not missing a beat. "What a coincidence. We were actually at that hotel to field-test the product's performance."

"Though I have to say, your demo shots turned out better than ours."

If I hadn't already obtained hard evidence, I wouldn't have believed it either.

The man I'd loved for five years had been sneaking off to hotel rooms with our business manager behind my back.

When I first captured the image, I thought I'd gotten the wrong person.

But the company's new product was built for ultra-long-range, high-definition photography. Forget facial features; you could count individual pores.

Lorraine jumped in eagerly. "Yes, exactly! Mr. Mason and I were testing the new product!"

Everyone seemed to expect me to explode.

Instead, I calmly raised a hand, gesturing for them to relax.

"Manager Fox, if you have feelings for Mr. Mason, all you had to do was tell me."

"We can finalize the divorce paperwork today."

"Once we're divorced, the two of you can walk into any hotel you like, broad daylight, and no one will have a thing to say about it."

The color drained from Lorraine's face. She shook her head frantically.

She turned to the crowd, pleading. "Everything I said is the truth! You have to believe me!"

I knew why she wouldn't admit it. Her reputation was on the line.

And her real objective hadn't been accomplished yet.

By exposing everything here and now, I'd thrown her entire plan into chaos.
