Chapter 1

Margaret was determined to get pregnant with her sponsored young boyfriend's child. She brought him home and ordered me to serve him in every possible way to prepare for the pregnancy.

“William has sensitive skin — his underwear must be hand-washed.”

“William has a weak stomach and vomits easily. Change all the juices to strawberry flavor.”

“William hates dog hair. Get rid of that filthy pet of yours.”

No matter how unreasonable her demands were, I obeyed them all.

Even when her little boyfriend was in a foul mood and lashed out at me with a whip, I didn’t utter a word of complaint.

“Margaret,” I said, “you promised that if I behaved and did everything you asked, I could see my two children.”

She smiled lazily, exhaling a ring of smoke into my face.

“Wait until I’m pregnant with William’s baby.”

For the sake of my children, I endured everything.

But then, in an effort to please William, she forced the children into a dog cage and made them bark like animals. When they refused, she flew into a rage and threw them into a safari park.

I knelt before her, begging, “The safari park is dangerous. They’re only five years old—there’s no one to take care of them, they’ll get hurt.”

She laughed coldly.

“It’s your fault they’re so stupid. Can’t even bark like dogs.”

“Five years old? They’re no longer a child. If they can’t survive the zoo, they don’t deserve to be my children.”

Three days later, both of them were bitten to death by a wild venomous snake.

That same night, Margaret spent ten million at an auction to buy a luxury watch for her precious boyfriend.

When she saw me, pale and hollow-eyed, she wrapped her arms around him and scoffed, “Your two pathetic sons—have they learned how to bark yet?”

I said nothing. I stepped to the center of the auction hall, holding two white urns in my hands.

“I’m doing unlimited bidding,” I said. “Buying the lives of two people like dogs!”

——

The crowd fell silent for a moment.

Then, ridicule erupted.

“Who are you supposed to be? Wearing rags like that—did you escape from a mental hospital?”

“Unlimited Bidding? Do you even know what that means?”

“Trying to buy human lives? You’re insane. What a joke.”

The mockery grew louder, more vicious.

Someone even tried to drag me out.

Even the staff looked me up and down, their expressions twisted in disdain.

“Sir, our auction is for the elite. Your clothes look five, six years old. This isn’t a place for you. Please leave.”

I looked down at my clothes. Indeed, I had bought them seven years ago.

“James! Are you out of your mind? Embarrassing yourself like this!”

The crowd parted.

Surrounded by a group of well-dressed people, Margaret stormed toward me, furious. She grabbed me by the arm.

“Get out of here! You scared William. Do you really think you belong in a place like this?”

She leaned close and whispered coldly in my ear.

“Why don’t you go home and wash more of William’s clothes... Or maybe you’d rather see your sons a little earlier.”

My body went rigid. I clutched the two urns tighter in my hands and stared straight at her.

“Margaret... they’re already dead.”

They were killed—by their own mother.

When they were found, their little bodies were black and swollen, bitten by a venomous snake.

They died in agony that very day.

At my words, Margaret’s smile faded. Her voice turned to ice.
