Chapter 1

I accidentally injured my arm while doing a special secret experiment, and when I went to the emergency room, a woman cut in line.

I endured the pain and let her line up properly.

As a result, she hit me hard on the wound and yelled, "Queue?! I am the most favored eldest daughter of Wentworth Group! I never queue in Metropolis City!"

"Don't even mention an emergency room. If I want, everyone in the entire hospital can be driven away!"

"Get out of here now! Otherwise, when my brother comes, your other arm will be crippled too!"

I was so angry that I laughed.

Wentworth Group, isn’t that the marriage partner that my parents arranged for me a few days ago?

I turned around and called Lucas Wentworth, "Your sister asked you to come over and break my hand. Do you dare?"

……

Lucas on the other end of the phone was stunned for a moment, then said in a cold tone: "What do you want?"

I couldn't quite believe what I heard.

My parents say that Lucas is a capable and polite gentleman.

I couldn't help but ask back, "Is this how you treat your fiancée?"

He sneered and hung up.

When Ivy Wentworth heard this, she snatched my phone and threw it to the ground: "So you are the woman who licked her face and wanted to marry my brother?"

"I didn't expect that she would be so ugly! My brother is really wronged!"

"And now you want to call my brother to complain? You are overestimating yourself!"

My face turned red when she said that.

Wasn’t this marriage proposed by Wentworth Group?

How come when she said it, it became like I was licking her face and asking to get married?

I hurriedly picked up the phone, covered my bleeding arm, and said coldly: "Even if you are from the Wentworth Family, so what? Can people from the Wentworth Family just cut in line and disrupt public order?"

Ivy covered her mouth in surprise. "Oh, what should we do? Our Wentworth Family can really walk sideways in Metropolis City!"

"Look at you country bumpkin, you haven't seen anything like this before!"

Walking sideways in Metropolis City?

I have worked at The Institute for ten years, and even my top management has never dared to say this.

The Wentworth Group has quite a big tone!

I was too lazy to talk nonsense with her, so I took my medical record and took a step forward: "The hospital is a place to save lives and heal the wounded. If you want privileges, go home!"

But before I took two steps, Ivy grabbed my hair from behind and pulled it back: "This hospital is owned by our Wentworth Family! What's wrong with me having special privileges!"

"How dare you cut in on my team on my turf!"

Is the hospital owned by the Wentworth Family?

What a big face.

This was clearly donated by my parents. Wentworth Group only invested in one of the projects, but it actually told others that it was its own company.

Even if it was opened by the Wentworth Family, she shouldn't privilege ordinary people like this!

I shook her off and said, "Can't you look at the big screen? I'm the next one. Who is cutting in line?!"

I thought people around me would come to help me, but what I saw instead was them pointing fingers at me.

"Everyone knows that Ms. Wentworth is Lucas's favorite. How dare you offend her? You are really stupid."

"That's right. How dare you ask Ms. Wentworth to queue up? I thought I heard it wrong!"

Someone else tried to persuade me: "You won't die from this injury. Let Ms. Wentworth take a look at what's wrong first."

"That's right. If you insist on forcing it, you might really die when Lucas arrives."

I didn't expect that such a powerful and overbearing voice would appear in a hospital in the center of Metropolis City.

I couldn't help but clench my fists.
