Chapter 4

I walked out the door with the suitcase in my hand aimlessly.

The thunder was loud, and the rain in June came down always so easily.

I didn't bring an umbrella.

Soon, my whole body was drenched.

I turned back and took one last look.

But I was instantly frozen in place.

In front of the French window on the second floor, Austin was standing there, looking down at me.

In his eyes, I seemed to see a trace of worry and pity.

But it quickly disappeared as if it was just my imagination.

"Toss away everything related to her!"

With a stern shout, a small object was thrown out fiercely.

Falling in the rain, it quickly got stained with mud and became dirty.

At that time, he cherished it so much, saying, "Gloria made it for me. I'll use it for a lifetime."

But now, he threw it out like it was garbage.

I took a few steps forward and picked up the dirty phone case.

I wiped it clean with my clothes and held it tightly in my hand.

It was just like me, without any value, and had become garbage in other people's eyes.

But it was my hard work.
