Chapter 1

Breaking up was completely normal in relationships.

But what I didn’t expect was that there could be such a despicable man in this world.

After I broke up with Kevin, he spread rumors that I had begged him on my knees not to break up. He even claimed I had threatened him with suicide by cutting my wrists.

He messaged every one of my friends, colleagues and even my boss, saying I had an extreme personality and that they should keep their distance from me.

For three months, I was exhausted trying to clear my name and even lost my job.

Then, three months after he disappeared, he suddenly called to tell me he was getting married.

My chance for revenge had finally arrived.

"Ivory, I'm getting married and it's to a woman who's prettier and more accomplished than you," he said, his tone full of pride and arrogance that made me sick.

"Since we broke up, you've even lost your job. You're really living a miserable life. Just as I thought, you're nothing without me."

Hearing this, I was furious. How could I be doing well after all his slander? Losing my job was his fault, too.

Through gritted teeth, I replied, "Kevin, if it weren't for your lies, I wouldn't have lost my job."

Kevin laughed and said, "You're blaming me for your lack of ability? You were always useless and your boss was smart to fire you."

I immediately blew up.

"Kevin, how can there be such a despicable man like you in this world? Did I ever beg you on my knees? Did I ever try to kill myself over you? Why did you message my friends, colleagues and boss, spreading lies?"

Kevin replied indifferently, "I just said whatever and they believed it. It shows that's how they already saw you. They were wise to stay away from a useless person like you, hahaha."

I forced down my anger and questioned, "I was the one who suggested the breakup, how dare you say you dumped me?"

Kevin shamelessly responded, "You're talking nonsense, I was the one who broke up with you. A man as outstanding as me could never be dumped by you. If it weren't for your looks back then, I would never have been with a stupid woman like you."

I was so angry that it felt like my chest was hurting. Back then, he had shamelessly chased after me and now he's saying he was only with me because of my looks.

I immediately retorted, "You're the one talking nonsense! You begged me not to break up with you! Have you forgotten that look on your face?"

Kevin sneered. "I think you're really losing your mind. Go look in the mirror. You say I begged you? Can you prove it?"

Facing such a shameless man, I really had no way to deal with him.

A person without shame was invincible in this world.

I just hated that I didn't have enough dirty words in my head and I didn’t even know how to curse him properly.

I was powerless with rage, venting the frustration in my heart.

Kevin laughed louder and louder. "I'm getting married. Are you coming to my wedding? I want you to see what a truly outstanding woman I’ll marry."

I forced myself to calm down and said, "Kevin, only a blind woman would ever fall for you."

Kevin said proudly, "She's prettier than you. She's the star in the sky and you're just a pile of crap on the ground."

As soon as he finished speaking, my phone received a message.

It was an engagement photo, with Kevin holding a beautiful woman.

"See that? Elegant, graceful, refined. You, a low-class, uncultured bumpkin, can't even compare to her in the slightest."
