Break Up With Decayed Love

During a chilly spring birthday party, my girlfriend Ida Garcia wears a revealing halter dress. When her close friend Sam Smith warms his hands and presses them to her bare shoulders, Ida reacts with shy happiness, declaring Sam is the one who truly understands her. While the surrounding crowd watches the uncomfortable display in embarrassment, I refuse to play the victim. Standing up calmly with a raised glass, I shock everyone by offering a sincere toast to their future wedding banquet.

Chapter 4

"If you're tired of me, let's break up."

I frowned as I looked at the message sent by Ida. Over the years we had been together, she had mentioned breaking up with me numerous times. Because I loved her and I was afraid of losing her, so I had to put aside my dignity and take the initiative to make peace.

But now, I didn't want to do that again.

"Okay, I agree!" The moment I sent the message, it was like I was finally breathing fresh air and felt no pain, only relief.

When I got home in the evening, Ida was not at home. I lay on the bed silently and deleted the photos of Ida on my phone one by one. Memories came to my mind. Ida and I met after we started working. We weren't childhood sweethearts or college sweethearts, but that didn't mean our initial feelings were not sincere.

The first time I saw her was on the bus. I had signed up for a tour group at that time. I was a little carsick sitting in the back seat. The person sitting next to me was Ida, who was wearing a baseball cap and sportswear. She had curved eyebrows and two dimples when she smiled. She noticed my discomfort and took the initiative to hand me a plastic bag. My stomach was churning at that time, and I couldn't care about my image in front of the beautiful woman. I turned my head and vomited into the plastic bag.

"I'll help you throw it away. Just sit and take a rest." I was very embarrassed by the sour smell in the car, but Ida naturally took the plastic bag from my hand and helped me throw it into the trash can in front.

When she returned to her seat, she handed me a green orange and a bottle of mineral water. "Here, rinse your mouth. When you feel uncomfortable, just smell this and it will help."

By that time, I was no longer carsick, but was obsessed with the beautiful woman.

Along the way, we chatted about everything from the world to life.

Her sweet dimples mesmerized me.

Thinking of the good times in the past, I felt sad. I was a human being, and how could I not have feelings? I was thinking if I was too careless, and maybe she was just thoughtless.

The phone rang. It was Sam, "Jason, you are a bastard! Why do you treat Ida like this! If you can't take care of her, just leave her!"
