My Whole Family was in Danger,My Boyfriend Refused to Save Them Chapter 1

My whole family was bitten by poisonous snakes during camping, and their lives were in danger. But the hospital's antivenom supply was in short supply.

The person in charge of the antivenom supply channel was my boyfriend, Oscar Klein, whom I had been in love with for many years.

I thought there was a way out, but when I was waiting for him to deliver the medicine, I received a message from him saying that he had something urgent to attend to.

Nine of my families and friends died on the spot.

In order to give my parents a last chance, I called him to ask for the medicine.

But all I heard was the sweet voice of his haunting crush, Betty Granger.

"Oscar, you can leave first, there's no need for you to accompany me."

I confronted him.

"You promised to give me the medicine first!"

Oscar's tone was full of impatience, as if I were being unreasonable.

"What's the rush? It's just an antivenom. Wait."

I waited all night in vain, only to receive the news that none of my family members had survived.

——

"When will the antivenom be delivered? The patient's toxins are already spreading to the heart. It's useless to send more antivenom later."

The doctor frowned, looking nervous.

This venomous snake is particularly cruel. It doesn't kill people immediately, but rather tortures them slowly, like a slow and painful execution.

Just now, I have already lost nine of my close friends and families who didn't receive the life-saving antivenom in time.

Some of them were my aunt and cousin, and two of them were my closest friends.

Now, my parents were still lying in bed, struggling to hold on.

I couldn't help but feel sad, so I forced myself to stay strong and pinched my thigh.

"Doctor, please wait. The antivenom is coming soon," I said.

"Don't worry, I know the person in charge of the antivenom supply channel, and he has promised to send it over immediately."

Oscar was my boyfriend of many years, and he was also the person in charge of this antivenom supply channel.

Two hours ago, when I heard the news, I thought there was still hope.

But until now, nine bodies have already been laid in the morgue, and I haven't seen Oscar or the antivenom he was bringing.

I kept comforting myself that he would come, and that he was just delayed by something on the way.

But no matter how many reasons there were, they couldn't explain why a half-hour drive had taken two hours, and he still hadn't arrived.

I dialed his phone number with trembling hands.

No one answered the phone.

I couldn't reach him, so I called his driver.

Fortunately, his driver answered the call quickly.

I asked urgently whether he was on the road already and where he was.

The driver stammered and told me that Oscar was not going to the hospital.

It was Betty who had called him away on an emergency.

Now he was driving Oscar and Betty.

Hearing his words, I felt as if I had been struck by lightning.

The scene of the doctor informing me to sign the death certificate was vivid in my mind.

Nine certificates...

It should only have taken him half an hour to deliver the medicine.

But I had no time to grieve now. I had something more important to do.

My parents were still waiting for the lifesaving antivenom.

I suppressed the surging sorrow in my heart and went crazy, asking him to give Oscar the phone.

A rustling sound followed, and I heard the phone fall into another hand.

I got straight to the point. "Oscar, where's the antivenom?"

But all I heard was the sweet voice of his haunting crush.

"Oscar, if you have something to do, you can leave first and don't have to accompany me. I can do it alone."

I couldn't help but shout angrily, "Oscar, you promised to give me the antivenom!"

Oscar's tone was extremely impatient, as if he was dealing with someone who was being unreasonable.

"What's the rush? It's just antivenom. Wait," he said casually.

"Can't you learn from Betty and be more considerate?"

I listened to his indifferent tone and felt a sense of heaviness in my heart.

But I knew that my parents' lives were still in his hands.

I could only suppress my anger and swallow my pride, softening my tone to flatter him, "Can it be delivered faster? My parents are still in the intensive care unit, and this toxin spreads quickly. They are at risk of death at any moment..."

Before I finished speaking, Oscar impatiently interrupted, "Enough!"

"Don't worry about this poison. I'm sure they won't die," he said.

They won't die?

But there were already nine horrifying bodies lying in the morgue...

"Stop calling and rushing me, it's annoying.

"If you keep annoying me, I can't guarantee that you'll see the antivenom."

Without waiting for me to say anything else, there was a scream from Betty. Oscar anxiously asked, "What happened, Betty?"

"The cat's temperature is getting lower and lower... I'm so scared..."

"Relax, it will be fine." Then I heard him urgently instruct the driver, "Drive faster!"

Even when delivering antivenom to my families, I had never heard him speak with such urgency.

"Oscar, please...!"

The phone was hung up without hesitation.
