Chapter 1

Today was the 466th day since I was diagnosed with depression and also the last rehearsal before Ronan's annual ceremony.

I put the medicine in my pocket, squeezed the bottle and walked out of the house solemnly and carefully.

It was the first time Ronan Jovanovic was directing the annual ceremony, which was of great significance to him.

After hesitating for a long time, I finally decided to take a flight alone to the venue and cheered him on.

But when I arrived, I found that his purpose was not just the ceremony.

He wanted to make his first love, Wendy Waltz, famous.

However, the finale of Wendy's performance was an ancient style music that I had innovated on my own.

Just as I saw the performance schedule at the rehearsal, I could not believe my eyes.

Although I rarely socialized after being diagnosed with depression, I was well aware that the new style of ancient Greece song were my original innovation and no one else knew about it.

The name and content of Wendy's performance were exactly the same as my idea.

How could there be such a coincidence in this world?

After receiving a call from the security office at the entrance, Ronan hurried over to me. His eyes were lit up as soon as he saw me.

However, his eyes immediately flickered after seeing the performance list in my hand.

He tried to be gentle and said, "Why didn't you tell me in advance that you were coming alone? I would be worried about you."

I turned my head away, avoiding his hand that wanted to touch me and pretended to be calm.

"I'm fine. If I hadn't come, I wouldn't have known that Wendy could sing ancient Greece song."

His eyes flickered and he muttered a few perfunctory words, hastily dealing with me. "Maybe it's just a coincidence."

My heart sank and I felt something was wrong with Ronan's behavior ....

Perhaps he was feeling guilty.

The man snatched the performance list from my hand and crumpled it up. "Michelle, don't let your imagination run wild. It will only make your condition worse."

He pulled me towards the studio, but stopped at the door, looking guilty and hesitant.

I immediately guessed what he was trying to say and cautiously said, "You haven't made our relationship public yet, have you?"

Ronan lowered his eyes, extinguishing my last bit of enthusiasm.

"You know, I'm now on the top of my career ... I'm sorry."

I lowered my head in disappointment and stopped talking.

Seeing the director come in, the staff's eyes were all focused on us.

On the stage, Wendy shone brightly under the flash lights.

She looked down upon me with disdain that could only be seen from my perspective.

Wendy covered her mouth and said jokingly, "Mr. Jovanovic even brought his sister with him, which shows that he attaches great importance to this annual ceremony."

Just as the others heard this, the atmosphere relaxed a lot, but my heart was still uncomfortable and restless.

Will Ronan refute it?

I restrained my expectation and looked up at him, but he hesitated for a moment before responding satisfactorily to Wendy and showing a generous and appropriate smile to everyone.

As expected, from the beginning to the end, I was the only one who expected honesty.

Ronan sent me away with just a simple sentence. "Find a place to sit for yourself." I gritted my teeth and looked around for an empty seat under Wendy's gaze.

They started chatting and laughing, while I was the only one sitting in the corner of the studio, staring blankly at the busy figures in front of me.

I did not feel that I was unnecessary, because I did not even deserve the sense of being an unnecessary person.

I originally came here for Ronan, but I did not expect that I fell asleep in this small corner before I could say a few words to him.

When I opened my eyes, I found that most of the lights in the studio had been turned off and everything was dim.
