Chapter 2

"Hot spicy romance never ends well daisy, I told you he was no good" Mia said  as she walked into the sitting room and handed me a  cup of water.

I dragged the napkin beside me and blew my nose in it before turning to face  her.

Mia didn't say a word, instead she just sat on the couch  opposite me watching me drown in  my  sorrows.

It's been two days since I turned down Callum's offer to me and handed it to his mistress.

Daisy, I know it hurts but you can't keep crying over  a man who wouldn't even look at you.

I cleaned the tears in my eyes as I looked at her"It's not that, I loved  him regardless of how he treated me but the fact that he left me with nothing in his will knowing that I have  nothing to run back to".

Mia looked at me  curiously, did  they tell you what happened or do you think he is the one that did it?

The tears instantly dried from my eyes as I thought about what she had just  said.

There was no way in hell that he had a hand in it, Christian  might be ruthless and most importantly hated  my husband but I don't think that he would kill him.

You talk as if you know the man, you know people say that he can't keep a woman and his family had carried on the legacy of his club and you know he had a huge history with Callum.

"Well, if he did, I would  say  Callum got what he deserved, he had it coming"

MIA signed and smiled as she took  the cup of  water from my hands.

Well ,I know you wouldn't want to do this , but a friend of mine is having a wedding and he had asked me to come with a friend and since you are here, I think it's best that you come with me.

You told  me  you wanted to be  away from anything that reminded you of him, well take this as a way of getting away from Callum, his club and his men.

Do you think he still has his men watching me?

Mia sighed, giving me a reassuring look. "I'm  sure they would just want to look after you nothing else, well they must know that you  have  moved on"

I nodded satisfied with her reply, as Mia  walked away , I could only imagine what would have happened if I didn't have her.

Mia  is my best and the only girl  friend I didn't cut off  after my marriage.

As for my parents I know they must have heard of his death considering that he had so  much leverage on the town.

My dad wouldn't take me back , he hated me for what I did , he was the town sheriff and all my life he had trained me  to stay away from them ,to him they were barbarians  he hated them but  his precious daughter married one.

The money I had with me was the 5 million I had saved up in my account over the course of our marriage and now I just needed to start afresh with it.

**************

Over the weekend just as Mia had promised,  she flew  us over to the wedding .

We had just arrived at the biggest resort  where the  wedding was going to be held and right now we were walking towards  the bar to have a drink when someone stopped her.

"Mia,and who is this princess you brought?" The guy who had stopped us asked.

When I looked at him , he was big like my ex husband, blonde hair that was styled down.

My best friend  Daisy  and Daisy  meet Humphrey, the bride's brother.

"Nice to meet you pretty"the  boy  whispered  as he slowly took my hands and kissed my palm.

When he bent closer to kiss it , I noticed it , the mark on his neck , that sign. I knew that sign, it  was the crest of the hell-hounds motorcycle club my ex  husband rivalry club.

I swallowed as I turned to face Mia, giving her the faintest smile as we walked  away.

You didn't see that, did you ?

See what ? She asked me

The crest on his neck , the mark?

Oh darling Mia said looking at me like I had gone nuts.

I don't think he  belongs to any motorcycle club and even if he did, it  wouldn't be the rivalry club of your ex husband so relax. We are out of town  and Callum is dead , you said you wanted a  life  away from that you have to move on.

I swallowed, speechless , but I knew  she was right. I was just seeing things, but the last thing I wanted to do was to be seen in the midst of my husband's rivalry club just a week after his death, that would cause so much trouble and I didn't  want that.

Instead of the bridal shower the bride  wanted a party and right now I was at the biggest pre wedding party ever.

Mia  had mixed  up with the crowd , dancing away her sorrows while I sat  enjoying the drinks  but something about what I had seen made me nervous, more nervous than I imagined.

From the loud music blasting over the speakers,I could hardly concentrate , the bride and  the  groom were dancing and rocking so hard they seemed to be so much in love with each other.

But as I sat there sipping my drinks, all I could feel was the eyes on me , it felt like someone was watching me, my every  move.

I  looked back but all I saw was nothing, just the men beside me.

Mia,I called out to her hoping that she would listen to me and  get me the hell  out of here but when  I turned and again my eyes met his hot gaze.

Just  like I had predicted, I was being watched, but no I wasn't being watched by what I thought but him.

The man I was warned to stay away from, The one I had suspicions about, my husband's enemy.

Christian Blackwood.

Beside him was a helmet he had placed on the shelf and on his  right hand  was his drink.

As I looked at him, my hands began to sweat, the fear gripping me so hard but I couldn't look away.

I had never seen the man before, I only heard things about him but I have  seen his photos but this time it wasn't a photo he was here.

He pulled his eyes away from me and then his eyes went around the area as if he was watching for some kind  of threat.

I pulled my eyes away grabbing the drink on the table as I glumped it down as my eyes rolled back to the man watching me.

Unlike what I have  heard of him , he was  tall, maybe a six foot-four or a six foot-five  and somehow when he looked at me I melted. He was hot like a real Ian  somerholder____Damon  Salvatore.

I couldn't help but notice the  bold tattoos creeping up over  his neck, his arms, forearms, and fingers.

His dark hair is styled  short but not without one little string falling out  and the crest of his motorcycle club  boldly  tattooed  on his neck.

He  glances towards my direction again , his stare cold but hot and when I see the mischievous smile creep up to the corner of his lips I knew I was in trouble.
