Before Our Wedding, I Saw My Fiancée's Dating Post Online Chapter 1

With my wedding coming up, I was killing time on the local forum during my lunch break.

My buddy Daryl Chavez had forwarded me a hot thread.

【The premium hookup I've been sleeping with for three years is getting hitched. Wonder if we'll still be able to go wild after this.】

The original poster had dumped a pile of chat logs that made your face burn, plus a few photos with the face cropped out but everything else on display.

In the shots, a deep valley of cleavage and pale, glistening skin flickered in and out of view.

She was an absolute knockout.

The comment section had blown up.

"Damn, that body, a fully ripe peach!"

"OP, book a hotel the night before your wedding and give her one hell of a send-off!"

"Trust me, put her in white stockings with the wedding dress. Absolutely electric!"

That afternoon, my fiancée Bianca sent me a text.

She asked me to swing by after work and bring home the altered wedding dress, said she wanted to wear it out and show the bridesmaids.

I agreed without a second thought.

After work I carried the heavy dress home and pushed open the door.

I'd barely changed out of my shoes when I spotted a local delivery package on the floor, still unopened.

Curious, I slit the packaging open on impulse.

My head went blank in an instant.

Inside was a brand-new pair of white stockings.

……

I stared at the strappy white stockings in the box, and my heart went cold.

Bianca never wore anything like this.

But here it was, sitting in my home.

My head was full of the filth from that forum thread.

"White stockings with the wedding dress, absolutely electric!"

I didn't want to connect that shameless bombshell on the forum with my gentle, dutiful fiancée.

But how could there be a coincidence this perfect?

Just then, I heard a key turn in the security door.

Bianca walked in with groceries she'd just bought.

"Honey, what are you doing standing there in the doorway?"

"Nothing, just thinking about something at work."

I tossed off the lie and pretended everything was fine, getting her slippers out for her.

"Oh, and I brought the dress home."

Bianca slipped into her slippers and turned to smile at me.

"Honey, you worked all day and still went to pick up my dress. You must be exhausted."

"I'll cook tonight and make you something good!"

She kissed me, then carried the groceries into the kitchen, and soon I heard the sound of chopping.

My nerves were on edge.

Was I really just being paranoid?

I leaned against the shoe cabinet, listening to the noise from the kitchen, and the stone in my chest eased down a little.

At dinner, I put a piece of pork rib on Bianca's plate.

"By the way, there was a local delivery for you at the door today. I opened it."

"Why were there stockings inside? I've never seen you wear anything like that."

I brought it up like it was nothing, but I kept my eyes on her.

I didn't want to miss a single flicker on her face.

Bianca paused mid-bite, then smiled with an easy, untroubled look.

"Oh, that. That's from my cousin Vivien Finch."

"She just got herself a boyfriend, and apparently he insists she wear weird stuff like that."

She set down her chopsticks and wiped her mouth with a napkin.

"She said she was scared it'd get delivered to her place and her parents would see, so she asked me to take it for her."

Bianca shook her head as she spoke, a note of distaste in her voice.

"Young people these days really let loose."

"Honey, don't you go picking up bad habits, hmm~"

Her eyes were playful and guileless.

Just like that, my heart settled back into place.

Right, Bianca barely even wore short skirts, she was extremely conservative.

There was no way she'd be pulling some white-stockings-with-the-wedding-dress stunt.

I cursed myself for letting one lousy thread turn me into a man sizing up his own wife with a dirty mind.

After dinner, Bianca went to wash the dishes.

I sat alone in the living room watching TV.

As if something got into me, I opened that forum thread again.

It had actually been updated.

The OP had just posted something new.

A few close-up shots of the hookup's feet.

In the photos, the woman had a strikingly eye-catching silver snake-bone anklet around her ankle.

I stared at the photos, going over them again and again.

Every taut nerve finally let go.

I let out a long breath and collapsed back onto the bed.

Bianca basically never wore jewelry.

She hated the way those things jingled and got in the way when she was busy. She rarely even wore the gold bracelet I'd given her.

I let out a breath and tossed my phone aside.
