Chapter 2

Emma glared at me.

The director opportunistically spoke up, "I hear each male guest has prepared a special gift for the lady who captivates his heart!"

Several men took out their gifts.

The female guests showed expressions of surprise.

"Wow, Alan has actually prepared a huge diamond ring!"

Excited murmurs spread through the crowd.

Everyone looked enviously at Judy.

The woman basked in her moment.

She touched her hair and said nonchalantly.

"Alan loves giving jewels and gems, but I'm not one to care for such material things, because I know he loves me."

Judy said, blushing as she extended her hand for him to put the ring on.

Alan looked arrogant and complacent.

"After all, Judy is a young heiress. I love that she doesn't chase material wealth."

The variety show went live, and a flood of comments poured in.

[Ah, sugar right at the start!]

[AJ CP is just perfect. So sweet!]

[That rock is so flashy, a fairy-tale couple indeed.]

[Am I the only one who sees Gloria looking miserable in the corner? She deserves it, haha.]

[The unknown actress dares to ruin others' relationships. She has to face the consequences.]

[What is an unknown actress doing on this show? Did she find a sugar daddy?]

[Can she get off the screen? She's ruining my ship!]

The atmosphere was cheerful.

Judy glanced at me with a hint of disdain.

She feigned concern.

"No one has given Gloria a gift yet? But she is so understanding. Someone will surely gift her something soon, so don't be jealous of me."

I glanced at the diamond ring on her middle finger, raising an eyebrow.

I had intended to just laugh it off internally.

But since she insisted on flaunting it in front of me, I might as well accept the challenge.

Thinking this, I chuckled.

"Why would I be jealous?"

"Such a fake ring being shown off, I find it embarrassing!"

At this, Alan's face changed.

Judy looked at me, scoffing.

"Gloria, you don't have to be sour just because you can't eat grapes."

She scornfully swept her gaze over me, "Although I sympathize with your heartache at not receiving a gift, you can't just make things up."

[I say, this woman just can't see others happy.]

[So disgusting!]

[She doesn't have one, so she resorts to spreading rumors, now we see her true colors!]

[Judy is kind-hearted, but she shouldn't sympathize with such people!]

[Actually, that ring looks familiar. Where have I seen it before?]

Emma also chimed in righteously.

"Yeah, why would you say her ring is fake?"

My expression unchanged, I slowly pulled out the necklace around my neck.

"Because the only real diamond in the world is right here!"

Everyone looked closely, and on the necklace hung a diamond ring.

The diamond was set within a flower, radiating a captivating brilliance.

Comparing it to Judy's ring, hers clearly paled.

The crowd's expressions shifted, and Judy's face stiffened.

Alan looked panicked, loudly arguing, "How ridiculous! Why should it be the only one? Even if it is the only one, why would yours be real? I spent two million dollars on it!"

Watching his desperate antics, I was amused.

Just as I was about to speak.

A deep, magnetic voice came from behind. "Indeed, there is only one real diamond in the world."

"It was specifically designed for Gloria."

Everyone turned to look.

When they recognized the newcomer, they gasped.

Wasn't this Herman Jones, often featured in global financial magazines?
