Chapter 2

“Grace, this is my first time being in such a place.”

I turned around and tried to find Grace in the crowd.

However, she had disappeared from my sight in the blink of an eye.

Bright lights flashed in my face, and the fast-paced music made my head spin.

I scanned the place and saw many tall guys in the middle of the dance floor. They were all over six feet tall. I could even see their abs under their white shirts.

The air was thick with the scent of men’s cologne.

I was getting dizzy.

I tried to copy what the surrounding people were doing, but I only managed to move awkwardly to the beat.

The dress that Grace had picked for me worked. Soon, I noticed people on the dance floor moving closer to me.

I tensed up when they brushed against me.

Before long, a bold guy stepped forth, and I looked up at him.

He had messy blonde hair and black obsidian earrings. He looked like a street thug.

He tapped me on the shoulder and theatrically adjusted his gold-framed glasses.

“Hey, beautiful. Are you alone?

“That’s my VIP booth over there. Want to join me for a drink?”

A few people with colorful hair were standing behind him. They looked like his lackeys.

I just glanced at them and turned to walk away.

However, they blocked my path.

“We’re not done talking yet. Why the rush?”

My frigid attitude seemed to upset their leader. He spat on the ground as he became furious.

He jabbed my shoulder and pushed me into a corner.

“Why are you pretending to be innocent when we’re in a place like this?”

Right then, the guy with blonde hair raised his hand to hit me.

Before I knew it, I felt someone pull me into their arms.

I looked up in a daze and saw a man with a strong jawline.

“My girlfriend’s with me. Got a problem?”

The blonde-haired man scoffed and left with his lackeys.

“T-Thank you...”

I pulled away from the man’s arms and finally saw his face.

I could not believe how handsome he was; it was almost surreal.

I saw his name tag, which said, [Ryan Shaw.]

Even his name sounded great.

The man smiled gently. He looked like a gentleman and seemed completely out of place there.

“No worries.

“I work here. Instead of thanking me, why don’t you book me for the night?”

All of a sudden, he leaned in. He grabbed a strand of my hair that was hanging over my shoulder and gently sniffed it.

Book him for a night? What did that mean?

Since he had just saved me, I could not say no to doing him a small favor. So, I nodded and agreed to his request.

His smile broadened. Still playing with my hair, he asked, “Shall we go to the bathroom?”

The bathroom? I was puzzled.

Just then, the strap on my dress slid off and exposed my shoulder.

The buttons on my chest were barely holding on and ready to pop off.

“Okay.”

I blushed as I grabbed his wrist and quickly ran toward the bathroom.

The music on the dance floor was loud and intense, while the bathroom was completely empty.

I shut the door, but Ryan slipped in with me.

“Wow, I didn’t know you were this eager.”

He smiled sweetly as he picked me up and set me on the sink.

“Ah! What are you doing, Ryan?”

I gasped as he touched my face.

We were so close that I could feel his breath on my cheek.

“Obviously… I’m going to… do you!”
