Chapter 2

I didn't have the energy to think about other issues and fell asleep soon.

In the middle of the night, Andrew sneaked into my room with a first aid kit in his hand.

After carefully treating my wound, he gently kissed my ankle.

He squatted in front of me for a while and then quietly left.

However, I had already fallen asleep and was completely unaware of all of this.

Since that day, Andrew and I hadn't seen each other much even though we lived in the same house.

Looking at the swing outside the window, I was a little confused.

Why did everything change all of a sudden?

Andrew was no longer the Andrew of the past, but I was still the same.

Since we didn't love each other anymore, why didn't we try to solve it but torture each other?

"The host has completed the mission. Do you choose to leave?"

Listening to the sudden voice, I was stunned.

  Oh, yes.

I was not from this world, so I should go home after completing my mission.

My family and friends were there.

How did I choose this voice the last time it appeared in my mind?

I seemed to have chosen no.

  But what about now?

"There is one last chance. If you choose no again, you will never be able to leave."

  "One last chance?"

"Yes, there are only three chances. The host has refused last time. This time, the host did not give the answer within a minute, so there is only one last chance now."

Let's get it over with then.

"If I want to leave, how can I contact you?"

After all, the system had appeared once since I came here. After giving me a mission, it disappeared.

When it appeared again, the mission was already completed. The system asked me if I wanted to leave.

At that time, I was deeply in love with Andrew. Why would I choose to leave?

"I appear when I detect that the host has a sense of breaking away from the world."

When I appeared in Andrew's company again, the people around me looked at me and wanted to say something but stopped on second thought.

There was a hint of pity and confusion in their eyes.

Nodding at them, I slowly walked to Andrew's office.

After knocking on the door, Andrew's voice came from inside. "Please come in."

After pushing the door open and entering, I finally understood why they were looking at me like that.

I had seen the girl sitting in front of Andrew that day.

The little girl was a little nervous when she saw me, but the next second, she smiled at me again.

  "Andrew, let's have a talk."

Andrew's typing hand paused. He looked up at me and thought, "Sure. What do you want to talk about?"

When I heard his emotionless voice, my heart ached.

I didn't say anything but glanced at Angel, who was sitting next to him.

"Angel, go out for a while."

Andrew's tone was completely different from before, and it was like a knife stabbing into my heart.

Angel nodded and left the office.

  "Andrew, what do you mean?"

Andrew turned around with his back to me. "Didn't you see it? Why did you ask me?"

That was correct. Didn't I see it? Why was I asking?

"So you want to break up, don't you?"

Tears welled up in my eyes and I lifted my head to hold them back.

Hearing my words, Andrew's tall figure froze.

A few seconds later, I heard him say something that hurt me the most in a hoarse but firm tone.

"Right, let's break up. Don't show up in front of me again."

Looking at Andrew, who used to be reluctant to say anything harsh to me, I still couldn't hold back my tears.
