BADASS COLLEGE GIRLS Chapter 1

Senorita Leo perched on the razor's edge of her narrow dorm bed, her fingers gripping the windowsill until her knuckles turned bone-white. The campus sprawled before her like a battlefield she hadn't chosen but was forced to navigate daily.

Her reflection stared back from the glass, and she barely recognized the girl looking back. College was supposed to be her metamorphosis, her chance to shed the skin of who she'd been and emerge as someone untouchable. But the scars from high school—invisible yet searing—refused to heal.

"Señorita, school resumes today. Get ready," Lake's voice drifted through the thin door.

"Five more minutes," Senorita called back, her voice rough with sleep and something harder.

"Girl, you said that twenty minutes ago," Swan's voice joined in. "We're already fashionably late. Now we're just late-late."

Senorita pressed her forehead against the cool glass. "Maybe I should just skip."

"And miss the chance to terrorize Mr. Finn on day one?" Lake's laugh was sharp through the door. "That's not the Queen S I know."

The girl she'd been in junior high—soft, hopeful, eager to please—was dead and buried. In her place stood someone harder, sharper, unbreakable. And she'd make damn sure everyone knew it.

"Fine," she muttered, pushing away from the window. "Let's go make some people uncomfortable."

* * *

The classroom door didn't just open—it surrendered. Three figures emerged from the hallway like fallen angels making their grand entrance to hell. Senorita, Swan, and Lake moved with synchronized confidence that couldn't be taught or faked.

The rest of the class became background characters in their own story.

Mr. Finn's weathered face contorted behind his wire-rimmed glasses. "You're thirty minutes late. Again." His jaw worked silently. "Where were you three? Fashion Week?"

Lake yawned with theatrical precision. "I was sleeping. Didn't know the sun had the audacity to rise without sending me a personal invitation."

"Seriously though," she continued, stretching like a cat, "since when did 8 AM become a real time? That's barely morning."

Swan smoothed her skirt with practiced elegance. "I was waiting for them, obviously. Punctuality is a team sport."

"Plus," Swan added with a sweet smile, "we figured you'd appreciate the extra prep time. You looked a little frazzled last week."

But all eyes inevitably gravitated toward Senorita. Mr. Finn's glare found her like a heat-seeking missile.

"And what's your excuse, Miss Leo?"

Senorita stretched languidly. "Honestly?" She paused, letting the silence stretch. "I miss the peace and quiet when you're not around. A whole week without your voice? Absolutely blissful."

Laughter rippled through the classroom. Someone in the back row whispered, "Oh snap, she really went there."

"Did she just—" another voice started.

"Shh, this is getting good," came the response.

Mr. Finn's knuckles went white around his chalk. "Excuse me?"

Senorita's smile was a blade wrapped in silk. "Did I stutter, Mr. Finn? I said I missed you... so, so much."

"We all did," Lake chimed in with mock sincerity. "Couldn't sleep all week thinking about quadratic equations."

"It was tragic, really," Swan added. "We held a vigil."

The laughter grew bolder. Even the honor roll students were fighting grins.

"My legs are absolutely killing me," Senorita announced, sinking into her chair. "Should I make another dramatic exit, or are we finally ready to get this educational theater started?"

A student near the front muttered, "She's got a point. This does feel like bad theater."

"At least the drama's good though," came the whispered reply.

Mr. Finn's face progressed through several shades of red. "Fine. You want to play games?" He turned to the whiteboard and scrawled a complex equation. "Solve this. If one of you gets it right, I'll forget about your tardiness. If not, detention for all three of you. For a week."

"A whole week?" Lake groaned. "What is this, military school?"

"That equation looks like it ate another equation," Swan observed dryly.

Senorita studied the board with casual interest. "This equation? Please. Even Google would throw up its hands and suggest I try therapy instead."

"Damn, S," someone called out. "You're not even gonna try?"

"Why would she?" another voice piped up. "That thing's impossible."

"Then maybe you'd prefer a week of detention?" Mr. Finn's voice carried satisfaction.

The room held its breath.

"Let's make this interesting." Senorita rose from her seat. "If I solve this correctly, you'll do whatever I say for one month. Everything. No questions asked. No exceptions."

The silence was deafening. Then whispers exploded:

"Is she serious?"

"No way she can solve that."

"Mr. Finn's about to have a heart attack."

"Someone's recording this, right?"

"Dude, this is legendary."

Mr. Finn swallowed hard. "And if you fail?"

"Easy. I'll do anything you want. But that's a pretty big 'if,' don't you think?"

Lake leaned forward. "S, you sure about this?"

"Girl's got this," Swan said quietly, but her voice carried to the front. "I've seen her in action."

Mr. Finn nodded slowly. "Fine. You're on."

Senorita approached the whiteboard. She took the marker and began to work, numbers and symbols flowing like poetry.

"Holy shit," someone breathed.

"Is she actually—?"

"Shut up, I'm trying to follow this."

"You can't follow that. None of us can."

Forty-seven seconds later, she stepped back.

"Done."

Mr. Finn approached like a man walking to his execution. His eyes scanned the work once, twice, three times.

"You're... you're right," he whispered.

The classroom exploded in chaos:

"NO WAY!"

"She actually did it!"

"QUEEN S!"

"Mr. Finn's face though!"

"Don't be a coward now, Mr. Finn!"

"I'm posting this everywhere!"

Senorita turned to face her audience, a radiant smile. "Don't forget our deal, Mr. Finn. One month. And trust me, I have very creative plans for how we're going to spend it."

"This is insane," Lake laughed, clapping. "You just made history."

"I can't believe you actually pulled that off," Swan added, shaking her head in amazement.

Mr. Finn gathered his materials with defeated movements, muttering under his breath as he headed for the door.

"What was that, Mr. Finn?" Senorita called out sweetly.

"Nothing," he ground out.

"Because it sounded like you said something, and we agreed—one month of whatever I say, remember?"

The class erupted again as Mr. Finn's face went crimson.

Senorita waved after him with royal dismissal. "Try not to trip over that massive ego on your way out."

"Girl, you didn't just get under his skin," Lake said, admiration glinting in her eyes. "You set up permanent residence there."

"What can I say?" Senorita sank back into her chair, satisfaction radiating from her. "You've just witnessed royalty in action. Class is officially in session, and I'm the only teacher that matters."

"So what's the first order of business, Your Majesty?" Swan asked with a grin.

"Oh, I have so many ideas," Senorita purred. "This is going to be fun."

The crown was hers, and everyone in that room knew it.
