Back To the Day When the Intern Doctor Slandered Me Chapter 1

The new intern decided to play doctor on her own, misdiagnosed a patient, and it cost someone their life.

Instead of helping, my boyfriend covered for her and pinned the whole mess on me.

The hospital wasted no time in firing me, and the patient's family, blinded by rage, broke into my place and beat me to death.

When I opened my eyes again, I was back on the day it all went down.

"It's nothing serious. Just get some rest, and you'll be fine!"

As soon as I walked in, I spotted Lucy Sutherland sitting in my chair, giving a patient her expert opinion.

Without missing a beat, I grabbed the report and shoved her aside. "Who gave you the right to play doctor behind my back? What if something goes wrong. Are you ready to take the fall?"

"It's just a migraine, nothing too serious," Lucy said, wearing a white coat as she sat in my chair, casually reviewing the patient's chart.

In front of her, a patient was clutching his head in pain, his face twisted in agony.

The scene was all too familiar, and before I knew it, I blurted out, "Who gave you the authority to treat patients on your own?"

I hurriedly snatched the report from her hands. But a voice came from behind me before I could say anything else. "Tina, don't be so overbearing. It's just a minor illness. Let Lucy handle it."

The moment I saw William Lunniker, it hit me like a ton of bricks. I had somehow come back to life.

William was my boyfriend and my boss.

Lucy was just an intern assigned to me for training.

In my past life, Lucy had taken advantage of my absence to treat a patient on her own.

I was furious like now, but William insisted that rookies needed more hands-on experience and told me to back off.

I refused, citing hospital regulations, but William lashed out at me, calling me too domineering for not giving the intern a chance to learn. He even ordered Lucy to handle the patient right before me.

Backed by William, Lucy arrogantly prescribed medication without so much as running a single test. She sent the patient home.

But what she thought was a minor headache turned out to be a brain hemorrhage.

Less than two hours after leaving the hospital, the patient died from it.

After the incident, the patient's family, consumed with rage, stormed into the hospital, demanding Lucy's life as retribution.

But when faced with the hospital's inquiry and the family's wrath, William shoved me into the spotlight.

"Tina, this is all your fault! Lucy is just an intern. She doesn't know any better. Why did you let her treat the patient?"

Lucy was crying. "Tina, you forced me to treat the patient, and now he's dead because of it."

The evidence was clear as Lucy had used my computer to prescribe the medication.

I couldn't argue my way out with William and Lucy testifying against me.

The medical accident caused a huge uproar, and the hospital immediately fired me.

The devastated family, led by none other than Lucy, broke into my home and beat me to death with whatever they could find.

I still couldn't forget how, as I lay there being brutally attacked, Lucy stood by, gloating. "Beat her to death! She's the one who killed your loved one."

As I took my last breaths, I saw William holding Lucy tenderly, whispering, "Don't worry, it's over now. You weren't too scared, were you?"

Their smiles were forever etched in my memory.

Remembering my past life's despair, I didn't hesitate for a second this time.

I shoved Lucy aside and glared at William, my voice cold and full of fury. "If something goes wrong, will you take responsibility?"
