New Year's Alumni Reunion: My Performance of Torturing Scumbags
Chapter 3
Everyone looked at me mockingly, and Betty even tried to defend her good friend.
"Aurora is always like this, pretending to be innocent, but promiscuous more than anyone in private!"
Lila angrily said, "Betty, stop. I'm afraid of getting sick just living in the same dorm with this kind of person!"
Lila deliberately moved away a bit, trying to stay away from me.
Suzy smugly said, "Not only that, Adam also saw her being picked up by luxury cars frequently. Despite being bankrupt, she can still carry new designer bags. For the sake of vanity, she even flirted with old men without hesitation. How shameless!"
"Aurora, you're not young anymore. Why haven't you found an honest person to take over?"
"It seems like she's too promiscuous, afraid her dark past will be exposed. Even if she gets married, she'll probably be kicked out!"
"Originally, she could bully people everywhere because of her wealthy family. But now, with her current conditions, no one would dare marry her, even if she pays!"
Suzy lightly brushed her hair and had a contemptuous smile on her face.
Hearing everyone scoffing me this way, Wendy finally erupted.
"Spreading rumors comes with legal consequences. Whoever dares to talk nonsense, I will tear her mouth apart!"
Wendy was the only true friend I had in college.
She had been with me all the way, not flattering as I was rich or standing aloof as I was poor, until today.
"Wendy, Aurora is not rich any more. You are still simping for her!"
Lila didn't like Wendy, not just because of me, but also Wendy's crazy pursuer was her senior and secret admirer in college.
They secretly ranked girls based on looks and family background and spread rumors, like the wealthy girl was hypocritical and the poor one was promiscuous.
I heard them scold me as a slut and prostitute, worse than a whore.
In fact, they were promiscuous than anyone else.
At that time, my family got into trouble, I regarded Suzy as my spiritual support. But she made it known to everyone.
I hopelessly asked her why, and she directly changed her attitude.
"We are all adults, do I have to make it so clear? You're of no use to me anymore. I, Suzy never be friends with useless people !"
During that period, I walked on the campus, facing the whispers and pointing felt like being stripped naked.
Late at night, tears stained my pillow in the dormitory.
I didn't understand why the friends who I treated sincerely became the ones who hurt me the most.
Until I dropped out, I never spoke to them again.
Only Wendy stepped up to defend me against those rumors.
I could tolerate Lila's insult, after all, I didn't want to engage in arguing with those stupid people.
But Wendy was my friend, she shouldn't have to suffer for me anymore.
I directly restored. "Lila, you've graduated already. Stop the childish antics. If you want to bow down to Suzy due to your misfortunes, that's your choice, but Wendy is different."
Everyone was shocked.
No one expected me, who had silently endured bullying in college, to suddenly fight back.
Lila's face contorted with bitterness and rage, glaring at me, yet unable to utter a word.
Because I was telling the truth.
Suzy became anxious, "Aurora, stop to drive a wedge between Lila and me. I always considered her my bestie!"
"Who knows what you truly think in your mind? Why not dig your heart out and take a look?"
I didn't have the patience to argue with Suzy anymore.
Seeing that I was aggressive, Suzy changed her attitude and started acting innocent, looking at Adam in tears.
"Adam, she's so fierce! I'm scared."
The room fell into an awkward silence, with everyone too afraid to speak.
Adam, who just received compliments from the classmates, witnessed the beauty's tear and then directly slammed the table.
"Aurora! You are so confident to say this. You must be doing well. How about paying the bill tonight?"
This was New York's most popular restaurant, and those who could afford to come here were either rich or respectable.
I glanced at the dishes and drinks on the table.
Suzy was still the same as before, claimed she would pay for the bill, ordering the cheapest dishes, which add up to only fifty to sixty thousand dollars.
I couldn't help but feel embarrassed for her.
And her boyfriend, who ruined his body by accompanying a wealthy woman, couldn't even afford 50 to 60 thousand dollars worth of drinks in the end?
I pressed the service bell, instructing the manager.
"The expenses here directly deduct from my card, and change the wine to Macallan."
As soon as I said this, everyone was dumbfounded, and Suzy burst into laughter.
Adam also covered his mouth and couldn't help but laugh. "To deduct from your card, you need to spend 5 million dollars in this restaurant in one night to be able to store wine on the card. Who do you think you are?"
Suzy chimed in. "Changing to Macallan, acting like a queen? Ridiculous! It's okay to make a fool of yourself, but we can't afford to lose face!"
It felt great to teach those bullies a lesson.
