After the Car Accident, I Forgot My Scumbag Boyfriend
Chapter 3
Since I asked those people to leave impolitely, there were fewer people bothering me.
My mom brought soup to me and said, "Mila, have some soup to nourish yourself, and then call Eric."
I put down the bowl and said what I had been wanting to say for the past few days, "Mom, I don't remember anything about Eric Davis. I want to break up with him."
As soon as I finished speaking, she threw the lunchbox on the table and said anxiously, "No way. You have suffered so much. How can you break up with him?"
I looked at my parents in disbelief and murmured, "Mom, you saw it too. I've been in the hospital for half a month, and Eric hasn't come to see me once. I still don't know what he looks like."
My mom quickly put on a smile to comfort me, "Mila, it's normal that a couple argue. Eric and you have been together for twelve years. Eric did make a mistake, but he left the bride at the scene and came to find you.
"If I were you, I would endure it and try to get married to him this year."
I turned to look at my dad, but I didn't expect him to remain silent, presumably agreeing with my mom's words.
"What are you talking about!" I never expected my parents to think like this. "This is cheating, Mom!"
Seeing I was emotional, my mom couldn't keep her smile on her face anymore. "Who am I doing this for? When Eric was still a poor guy, you followed him eagerly! Do you know how others talk about you?"
My mom seemed hesitant to speak, but she still spoke it out. "Others say that you slept with his boss for Eric. Now that Eric has become successful, how silly you are to leave him now."
My dad patted my mom's shoulder to calm her down and continued, "Mila, think about it. If you lose Eric, can you still live such a good life? Our whole family relies on Eric for support. What will you do if you break up?"
I couldn't believe what I heard. I tried my best to calm myself down by taking deep breaths, but tears were still welling up in my eyes.
I didn't remember any of these things, but I believed I wouldn't do such things.
But I didn't expect that my parents would think of me this way, and I didn't expect that they knew what kind of person Eric was, yet they still made me grovel.
The door of the ward creaked open, and a tired and impatient man in a suit walked in.
"What are you crying about?" Eric sat on the chair in the room and asked, looking at my tears.
It's really Eric.
Eric was completely different from the person in my memory. Now Eric was dressed meticulously, exuding the mature aura of a man.
Seeing that I didn't answer and just stared at him blankly, Eric seemed to be in a slightly better mood. Ignoring my parents' forced smiles, he walked a few steps and sat on my sickbed, wiping away my tears.
"Mila, are you feeling wronged?" Although it was a question, Eric's tone was full of affirmation.
He hugged me and said, "I didn't marry her, did I? When I heard that you had an accident, I immediately rushed over from the wedding. I've been busy these days, and I'm really sorry, Mila."
His explanation was meaningless except for admitting his infidelity.
I felt disgusted and pushed him away with a cold expression. I saw his surprised expression and said, "Let's break up."
Eric seemed a little incredulous and asked, "What did you say?"
My mom tried to cover my mouth in a hurry, but it was too slow. "Let's break up, Mr. Davis."
Eric looked at my parents and me with disdain. He didn't say anything harsh, just casually replied, "Okay, let's break up.
"Mlia Moore, don't regret it."
