After Receiving 5 Million, I Blocked My Mother
Chapter 4
I didn't even have money to buy lunch at school. My mom gave me some pickles and cold bread for lunch, nothing else. She said I should learn to live humbly and give good things to others.
There is no question of "giving" or "not giving". I have never received any "good things" from my mom.
All snacks and toys belonged to Josh. My needs are all ignored by them, and if I resist a little, I will be accused of being "immature" and "heartless".
"Family love" always weighed on my head, and suffocated me. I could not imagine my future at all as long as I lived with them.
Fortunately, Rosemary and her daughter Melissa thought of me and loved me. They gave me some money from time to time. They helped me when I was in high school and in college.
A few months ago, Rosemary's old house was demolished and she received 10 million in compensation. She decided to split it into two, giving 5 million to Melissa and 5 million to me.
This morning, the 5 million dollars arrived in my account.
I used to think about whether to use this money to buy a new house, bring my mother over, and let her enjoy life.
But now, I have completely given up on this plan. Since my mother valued other families so much over me. I should just let them support each other. I would not care about her anymore.
If she enjoyed so much being a blood bag of Molly and Tom, and felt it was her honor to be used by her family. Why should I deprive her of her happiness? Let her have her happiness.
After returning to the rental house in the rain, I finally made up my mind to delete all these people from my contact list.
The next morning, the first thing I did was go to the bank, report my salary card lost, and apply for a new one.
From then on, I made good use of every penny I had, did what I wanted to do, loved those who were worth loving, and enjoyed my own life.
The next step was to submit my resume online. I wanted to find a job in Capitalvals so I could live with Rosemary and Melissa.
If I wanted to break free from my mother and her family completely, I had to leave as soon as possible.
When I graduated from college, I was invited to move in with them. But my mother tried her best to stop me. She said that I was her only daughter and that she wanted me to stay with her. In fact, she just wanted to control me, manage my money, and support my grandma and uncle's family.
I was easily influenced by them back then. And I was afraid they would say that I didn't listen to my mother because I didn't care about the relationship between us, so I came back to find a job.
Now, I finally saw my mother through. She didn't love me at all. She only has her "Throne family" in her heart. She only loved Josh as her kid because he was a Throne. I was just a servant who was born to serve them.
Because I blocked all of them, I had some peace for a while, but I knew the storm was coming soon. My payroll day was approaching and they would come to me first when they found out their bank cards were invalid.
No surprise, the next day of payroll day, my mother and Molly cornered me at the company gate early in the morning.
