After Rebirth, I Will Send Those Who Bully Me to Hell!
Chapter 3
Joseph sighed, "You actually know about this. Why do you come here so quickly? I'm not in Starlight Plaza now."
I almost shouted, "Where are you now? We'll talk about other things later."
Joseph didn't realize the seriousness of the matter. But I was so anxious.
"Susan, don't worry. I just arrived at Charles' house."
When I heard this most despairing news, I felt like I couldn't breathe, and my legs went weak.
"Susan, what's wrong? Why don't you speak?"
My nails almost dug into my palms. I said tremblingly, "Joseph, come out quickly. Don't stay there. I'll come to you right away."
After saying that, I took off my high heels, stuffed them into my bag, and ran towards Cedar Estates like crazy.
I ran as fast as I could in my entire life. I prayed as I ran.
It took me three minutes to reach the gate of Cedar Estates. But the security guard stopped me.
Maybe because I was unkempt and barefoot, the security guard thought I was not the owner.
I opened my phone and took out the electronic contract for the house purchase, which had my and Charles' names on it.
I bought this house. My parents said that as long as I bought the house for Charles, Charles would never ask me for money again.
"Susan, Charles is our only son. Please help him. We promise not to ask you for any money in the future," Mary held my hand and spoke to me in a tone that was gentler than ever before. I believed her.
I worked overtime to earn money and almost got sick. I finally saved enough money. I was cautious at the time. I was afraid that my parents would go back on their word. So I asked them to add my name to the house contract, or I would not pay.
I promised them that as long as they kept their promise, this house would belong to Charles after he got married. But this time, I won't let them get even a shred of my possessions.
The security guard looked at the contract and then looked at my embarrassed appearance.
Although he thought I was weird, he still let me in.
I breathed a sigh of relief and walked into the elevator.
I took out my high heels and put them on. Just as the door was about to close, a familiar hand stopped the elevator door.
