Chapter 2

I looked at Dale deeply, said goodbye to Mrs. Woodward and left.

Just as I walked out of the Woodward Family gate, a black commercial vehicle stopped in front of me. The woman came out of the car and knelt in front of me.

“Mr. Richardson, please save my daughter…”

It turned out that in the accident a year ago, not only Dale was injured, but also her mortal enemy, Angela, from the Austin Family.

After the car accident, Angela became a half-dead disabled.

But after experiencing the tragic last life, I would not use my blood to save people at will, so I rejected Mrs. Austin’s request.

Mrs. Austin did not entangle anymore and wiped her tears and left.

A week later, I received an invitation to the Woodward Family banquet.

Laurence came back with Snow Lotus. Mrs. Woodward was afraid that there was something wrong with Laurence’s medicine, so she asked me to check it on the spot.

At the banquet, Laurence stayed by Dale’s side.

Mrs. Woodward walked to my side with a sad face.

“I’m not afraid that the medicine Laurence brought back is useless. I’m just worried that I’ll disappoint Dale again and she won’t be able to accept this blow. We’ve tried everything over the past year. I’ve watched the hope in Dale’s eyes disappear little by little. As a mother, I really can’t do anything…”

Without waiting for me to start comforting her, Laurence pushed Dale over.

“Auntie, don’t worry. I can definitely make Dale stand up. For this Snow Lotus, I almost died in the snowy mountains.”

Dale held Laurence’s hand, looking moved.

“Laurence, when I stand up, I will wear the most beautiful wedding dress and marry you.”

“Dale, I will wait for that day.”

Laurence turned his head and looked at me, his smile ambiguous.

“I’m different from those quack doctors who cheat. I’m sure I can cure Dale’s legs.”

As soon as the words fell, the faces of the famous doctors who had treated Dale’s legs turned ugly.

“Mr. Russell is so arrogant. Are you sure you can cure Miss Woodward’s leg?”

“How dare you, a nonmedical professional, question our level?”

“Even Mr. Richardson from the medical Richardson Family said that Miss Woodward’s leg cannot be cured. I don’t believe that you, a young man, have this ability!”

Dale didn’t think there was anything wrong with what Laurence said and smiled proudly.

“I believe Laurence can definitely cure me!”

I couldn’t help but sneer.

Laurence thought I was laughing at him.

I was so angry that I gritted my teeth, but still forced a smile.

“Mr. Richardson, I heard that you are the most outstanding doctor of this generation of the Richardson Family, but you first rejected the Woodward Family and then rejected the Austin Family. It’s hard not to suspect that you can’t cure diseases at all.”

I raised my glass to toast him.

“Then I look forward to the day when Mr. Russell makes Miss Woodward stand up.”

Seeing that I didn’t get angry but laughed, Laurence clenched his fists.

“Are you angry that I stole your limelight? I know you want to marry Dale, but Dale likes me and I’m the only one who can cure her legs.”

Dale, who was sitting in a wheelchair, spoke sarcastically. “Georgie, even if you have the ability to cure me, I won’t marry you, not to mention that you are a quack. When my mother introduced you before, I thought you were a great person, but it seems that’s all. I tell you, the only person I like is Laurence and I will marry him. Even if you appear in front of me again and again, I won’t look at you more.”

I just felt irritated when I saw them singing the same tune. “Mrs. Woodward asked me to come here to check Mr. Russell’s medicine. Since Miss Woodward trusts Mr. Russell so much, I don’t need to meddle in other people’s business.”
