After My Son Called Me A Nanny, I Chose To Divorce

After years of devotion, a mother is heartbroken when her son calls her a mere nanny and admits he is ashamed of her. Instead of defending her, her husband excuses the boy's cruelty, blaming her disheveled appearance and her refusal to let his childhood sweetheart, Miranda, attend a school event. Pushed to her absolute limit by their ungratefulness, she refuses to explain herself any longer. She hires a lawyer, packs her bags, and files for divorce, leaving them behind for good.

Chapter 6

My intimate funds had long been locked up. The large sums of intimate funds that Nancy mentioned were from Miranda.

Hannibal, thinking about this, was speechless.

I sneered and followed the movers out.

Hannibal finally moved, pushing Hughie. “Apologize to your mother right now!” Hughie, fuming, threw the safety lock in his hand at my face and yelled.

“I’m sorry! Is that enough? It’s all your fault. You’ve made everyone upset!”

I wiped the blood from the safety lock and spoke calmly.

“Hughie, I’ve always tried to teach you well. But now it seems you carry the blood of the Chandler Family and you’re a born ungrateful person. I’m not your mother anymore. I won’t tolerate you anymore. Now, apologize!”

This was the first time I spoke to Hughie so seriously and coldly.

His face was filled with confusion and fear.

The next moment, he burst into tears and threw himself into Miranda’s arms.

“Regina! Are you crazy? How can you talk to your son like that!” Hannibal roared, but when he saw me leave without looking back, he became anxious again. “Do you really want to divorce me? If you dare leave this room today, I’ll sign the agreement! Even if you beg me, I won’t let you back into this house to see our son!”

Miranda advised, “Regina, if it’s my fault that you’re at odds with Hannibal and Hughie, I apologize. I shouldn’t have relied on my godparents just because I was upset and had no family here. I shouldn’t have gotten so close to Hughie just because I like children. If you really mind me, I’ll buy a ticket and leave the country today, okay? If you’re still not satisfied, I’ll kneel down and apologize, okay?”

She immediately knelt, raising her hand to slap herself, leaving the whole family heartbroken. “Let her go! She’s a troublemaker! If it weren’t for Miranda going abroad, letting you, a bitch, take advantage of the situation and get Hannibal to ask us to marry you, someone like you wouldn’t be worthy of living in our house!”

“Don’t bully Miranda! You wicked mother! I hate you! I don’t want you anymore!”

I took one last look at the family and headed out.

But after just a few steps, I heard Hughie’s roar from behind.

“You wicked woman! I won’t let you bully my Miranda!”

The next second, Hughie slammed into my lower back like a cannonball.

I fell straight down the stairs and rolled all the way to the bottom.

The neighbors and workers around screamed in fear.

I forced myself to stand up and said to the workers, “Call the police! I’m suing them for malicious murder.”

“You bitch! I told you to!” Nancy screamed, stopping the workers. “Who touched you? You were clearly the one who lost your balance. Why are you blaming my grandson for pushing you?”

“I’ll see who dares to call the police!” Gary roared, “She’s my daughter-in-law. Let alone pushing her, even beating her to death wouldn’t be anyone’s business.”

“It was just your son accidentally pushing you. Is that a big deal?” Hannibal followed, frowned and tried to persuade me.

But when he met my resentful gaze and the blood on my face, he finally shut up, feeling guilty.

The police arrived quickly, but since it was a family dispute and it was a child who pushed me, they couldn’t do anything. They just said to take me to the hospital first.

I politely declined, firmly demanding an explanation.

My parents-in-law wanted to take Miranda to the birthday party, but I asked the workers to stop them.

I wouldn’t go to the hospital for treatment until this matter was resolved today.

And they could forget about going to the birthday party to meet those wealthy internet celebrities.

As the time at the birthday party slowly wore on, Miranda’s expression grew increasingly awkward and she kept glancing at her phone.

Hannibal finally couldn’t help himself and asked, “What the hell are you trying to do? Can’t I just compensate you?”

I shook my head and slapped the divorce agreement in front of him.

“27,000 dollars! This is my salary for being your family’s live-in nanny for ten years. And there are signatures! When the money arrives and the signatures are ready, I’ll let you go!”

“27,000 dollars?! I’ll beat you to death, you bitch!” Nancy screamed, ready to pounce on me. “You’re nothing and you’re worth 27,000 dollars?!”

I shouted, “Alright! Go ahead and hit me! Let everyone see you beating your daughter-in-law! Aren’t you going to livestream today? I think we should just do it now!”

Sure enough, many people around took out their phones and started filming and Nancy, furious and anxious, tried to block them. “No filming!”

She was afraid that my actions would tarnish everyone’s reputation.

Especially Miranda, the internet celebrity.

Miranda’s face was pale as she clutched Hannibal’s arm tightly.

“Hannibal, think of a solution!”

Hannibal finally lost his patience. He tapped a few times on his phone and a payment notification popped up on my phone.

He then snatched the divorce agreement and angrily signed his name on it.

He swung it at my face, scratching it bloody.

“Here! Get them out of here!”
