After Loving Him for Seven years, I Gave Up
Chapter 4
Donald's face turned pale, and he asked me, "Are you threatening me?"
He snorted again, "Ella, let me tell you, If we're divorcing, you cannot take Flora. I will fight for custody!"
In his gaze, there was full of disdain, "Don't forget, you have been supported by me. The court won't give Flora to you!"
For a moment, I looked at Donald and felt particularly unfamiliar.
This was the man I had liked since I was a teenager. Back then, he would protect me and say, "With me, no one can hurt you!"
But now, he had turned the blade towards me.
But I was already full of wounds, and I didn't need another one.
"Then let's give it a try."
After marriage, I didn't go out to work. But it didn't mean I didn't have a job. I was an illustrator and I earned money by taking commissions. It was not worse than Donald!
Not to mention...
We didn't need to fight for custody at all, because my Flora was already dead.
I held the package, inside was Flora's urn, a small box containing the ashes of Flora.
Joanna hurriedly came over and held my hand seeing us confront each other angrily, saying, "Ella, we have nothing going on, please don't misunderstand..."
When she was speaking, she secretly pinched me. I instinctively pushed her away, and the next second, I saw Joanna fall to the ground.
Donald panicked immediately and pushed me out. I was pushed so suddenly that I couldn't stand steady, and the bag in my hand also fell out!
He only went to see Joanna, "Joanna, are you okay?"
I didn't look at them, but I felt a loud explosion in my head and stumbled to the ground to pick up the bag.
My bag hit the ground, and in that instant, I heard the sound of it breaking inside.
I was really worried, and I nervously opened the bag, but the box was broken.
The ashes inside spilled all over the bag.
I trembled all over, afraid that the ashes would spill out again, and subconsciously wanted to close the bag.
Then Donald walked over quickly and threw my bag into the trash can!
"Ella, why are you so vicious? Joanna is still sick, and you hit her!"
I suddenly widened my eyes and hurriedly went to pick up the bag from the trash can, but Donald pulled me back, "Apologize to Joanna!"
The next second, I slapped Donald's face and pointed at him with hatred, "Donald, you beast!"
That slap was not enough, so I pushed him hard and picked up the bag from the trash can, only to see the ashes scattered.
I cried so hard that I couldn't catch my breath, trying to piece together the broken box and tightly zip up the bag.
Donald wanted to scold me, but he saw the broken small box inside.
That was Flora's urn...
