After Losing Me, She Regretted it
Chapter 4
I suddenly laughed.
"No way!"
Emma narrowed her eyes and said, "Dylan, as long as you are obedient, I can give you everything you want, including marriage. Have you thought it through?"
I used to want to marry her, but he didn't want.
Now that I didn't want anymore, she was using it as blackmail to get me to compromise.
I endured the pain on my face and said coldly, "Emma, I said we broke up and I will not marry you."
Maybe it was because I loved her too much before, Emma didn't believe that I would leave her, let alone after she promised to marry me.
She sneered, "What? Don't you want to fulfill your mother's last wish?"
I felt a hint of contempt in her words.
But before I could open my mouth, Mark seemed to have got something on me, "Emma, I said he was lying to you. If his mother was really dying, how could he have such an attitude? Don't be fooled by him."
I couldn't stand it anymore and said, "Shut up. You have no right to talk about my mother."
My repeated disobedience completely angered Emma.
"I'll let you know the consequences of disobeying me."
Emma sneered and called her assistant. To make sure I could hear clearly, she turned on the speakerphone.
"David Smith, no need to contact MT Wedding company I put you in touch with this morning."
MT wedding company was the best in the country.
"And cancel Dylan's mother's surgery."
Emma thought she could threaten me and stared at me while she spoke.
I just looked at her without any reaction.
David hesitated for a moment, then finally spoke up, "Ms. Hall, Mr. Scott's mother passed away three days ago, on the day of your wedding."
"Impossible!"
Emma shuddered.
