Following a severe car crash, Alicia regains consciousness with a bizarre form of amnesia: she remembers everyone in her life except her husband, Rowen. When Rowen brazenly defends his ongoing affair with their pregnant housemaid, expecting Alicia to raise the child, she feels absolutely nothing. She cannot even recall the man she once sacrificed her savings and family ties to marry. Unfazed by his excuses, Alicia ignores her stunned husband, picks up her phone, and calls a mysterious contact.

After I lost My Memories, I only Forgot My Husband Chapter 1

I got into a car accident and lost my memory.

When I woke up, I could remember everyone—except for my husband, Rowen.

My best friend, Charmaine, held up her phone in disbelief.

“Even your housemaid, Rosalie, is posting photos of her in bed on social media! Are you seriously still pretending to have amnesia?”

I opened my mouth to respond, but just then, a man barged into the hospital room, followed closely by a teary-eyed housemaid.

“Alicia, what’s with this tantrum now? Why haven’t you been home for days?” he asked impatiently.

I stared at his face. “You’re the man who’s been sleeping with my housemaid?”

His expression turned awkward. “It wasn’t like that... I was drunk that night, and Rosalie was just taking care of me. I didn’t mean for things to go that far.”

He hesitated, then added, “Didn’t you want a child? Since you can’t have one, once she gives birth, I’ll send her away. The child will only ever call you 'Mom.'”

I turned to my friend with a confused look. “Who is this man?”

Everyone in the room was stunned. They thought I was faking it. Charmaine, especially, looked at me in disbelief.

“He’s your husband—the one you begged your parents for three days to let you marry! You even used all your savings to help him start a business and nearly got disowned because of him!”

My brows furrowed. I pulled out my phone and made a call.

“You said you would marry me. I’m sick now. Why haven’t you come for me?”

Before the person on the other end could answer, the phone was snatched from my hands and thrown to the floor. It bounced a few times before going dark.

Rowen’s face was twisted in rage, veins bulging on his forehead.

“Alicia, enough with this act! Are you trying to provoke me with another man now?”

“I’m losing patience. Get up—now. The new company is launching, and you need to be at the press conference!”

He shouted so loudly that it echoed in the room and even tried to yank me out of bed. His irritation was plain as day, and somehow, it made my heart ache.

Charmaine rushed to stop him.

“She’s still recovering. She can’t leave the hospital yet!”

Rowen glanced at the bandage on my forehead, but his eyes remained cold.

“You’re putting on quite the show, but I don’t have time for your games.”

Rosalie’s eyes flickered. “What if... she’s not faking it?”

She suddenly reached over and tore off my bandage.

Pain shot through my forehead, and the swollen bruise was revealed. Reflexively, I slapped her—hard. The sound rang sharply through the room.

Rosalie looked at me, stunned, clutching her face.

“I just wanted to check your wound... Why did you hit me?”

Rowen immediately rushed over to examine her hand, noticing the red mark on the back.

“Apologize to Rosalie!” he shouted at me, his face icy.

My head was pounding. I held it tightly, not listening to his yelling.

But Rowen assumed I was being defiant. He grabbed my wrist roughly, his grip tightening until I couldn’t move.

As my sleeve slid down, a deep scar on my arm was exposed.

Charmaine gasped. “Rowen! Do you even have a heart? Did you forget that when you were kidnapped by thugs, it was Alicia who shielded you with her right arm and got slashed for it? And now you’re grabbing her like this?!”

Rowen froze. The scar seemed to burn his hand, and he quickly let go.

Trying to cover it up, he turned to me with a fake smile.

“Well, if you can’t attend the launch, then let Rosalie go in your place.”

“Really?!” Rosalie beamed and kissed him on the cheek right in front of me.

Rowen immediately pushed her away and glanced at me. When he saw I had no reaction, his frown deepened.

Rosalie was my father’s illegitimate daughter. She looked a lot like me and somehow ended up working in our house as a maid.

Charmaine showed me her social media posts—photos of her trying on my clothes and jewelry in my bedroom, standing next to Rowen at public events, playing the role of the perfect hostess.

Apparently, I’d confronted Rowen about it many times. But because I loved him so much, I always tolerated his defense of her.

The car accident that day happened because I saw him hugging Rosalie. I stormed out in anger and got hit.

Tolerate?

Even if I forgot who Rowen was, I never forgot who Rosalie was—a classic scheming little pretentious bitch.

“And who said you get to speak here? Like mother, like daughter—always trying to seduce someone else’s man,” I spat.

Rosalie burst into tears.

Just then, the doctor came in to ask for payment. Charmaine dragged Rowen out of the room.

As they stepped outside, I overheard the doctor grumble, “The patient has been seriously injured for days. And you, the supposed husband, just show up now?”

Charmaine scoffed. Everyone knew he’d been sleeping in our bed with Rosalie this entire time.

I checked my phone. On the day of the accident, I’d called him countless times. He never answered. I even messaged him, but Rowen thought I was joking.

Rosalie didn’t leave with the others. She came closer to me.

“Sis, I truly love Rowen. You’re already Dad’s favorite daughter. Can’t you just let me have him?”

I didn’t bother responding. “I don’t even remember Rowen. How many times do I have to say it? You like him? Then take him. Trash men and homewreckers belong together.”

Rosalie looked stunned, eyeing me suspiciously as if trying to determine if I was serious.

Suddenly, we heard footsteps approaching.

In a flash, Rosalie picked up a glass of water and smashed it on her own head. Blood began to trickle down her forehead.

She sobbed and screamed, “Sis, please let me go! I swear I’ll stay away from your husband!”

The door burst open as Rowen rushed in. The moment he saw the scene, he wrapped Rosalie in his arms.

“Alicia! You’ve gone too far! I left for just a moment, and this is how you treat your own sister?!”

“I was willing to wait until you recovered to hold the press conference, but forget it. Hand over the signet ring that represents your identity. Rosalie will take your place.”

I looked at him straight in the eye.

“Absolutely not.”

“Rowen, I don’t love you anymore. I want a divorce.”
