I blinked. “What?”

“You had a miscarriage because you had sex!” he hissed, his gaze piercing me like a dagger.

The blood seemed to drain from my face. Pregnant? Again? That was too soon.

”Logan..." I looked at him wearily and took a deep breath, leaning against the headboard.

Logan remained silent for a long time. He stared at me with an unreadable expression.

“Alright, I understand.” Then he called Dr. Joseph.

Dr. Joseph arrived immediately, accompanied by a nurse carrying a tray with a small bowl.

A sense of déjà vu hit me, realizing what Logan was about to do.

“You want me to have another child?”

Logan didn't answer, taking the bowl and handing it to me.

I looked at Dr. Joseph, pleading. “Dr. Joseph, didn't you say that my body can no longer bear children?”

Before Dr. Joseph could answer, Logan interrupted softly, “This potion is better than the previous one. You'll be fine, I promise.”

Logan's expression changed in an instant. He stood up with the bowl in his hand and forced me to drink.

“When I ask you to drink, you must drink.”
