Chapter 5

Thinking of this, I sent another message:

"We'll get married in three days and become the groom right away. Do you want to take that position?"

"Bang!"

The door was suddenly kicked open.

Alexander stood at the door with a gloomy face, staring at me.

"Audrey! What the hell did you do to my clothes!"

"Varied……"

"Shut up!"

He rushed over, grabbed my wrist and pushed me against the wall.

I have never seen him like this before. His eyes were red and his breathing was trembling.

"I wore the shirt you sent me to hold the baby, and within ten minutes she developed a rash all over her body and suffered respiratory failure! She's in the ICU now!"

"She's just a newborn baby! Audrey, give me a fucking explanation!"

"I didn't do anything!" My wrist was pinched by him and it hurt. I struggled desperately, "Let me go first..."

Before he could finish his words, he suddenly swung his fist at me.

I instinctively closed my eyes and tilted my head. I heard a loud bang beside my ear and his fist hit the wall next to my ear.

When I opened my eyes, I saw blood oozing from his knuckles.

His voice couldn't stop shaking, "Alexander, did you really want to hit me just now?"

He seemed to wake up suddenly, loosened his grip in panic, and hugged me in his arms.

"Audrey, I, I panicked for a moment. I'm sorry."

"I said, I don't care what you do. But this time you are extremely wrong. Sophie cried and said she wanted to die with the baby. You go kneel down and admit your mistake to her, okay?"

The hot liquid dripped onto my neck. "Just think of it as doing it for me. I promise you, as long as you admit your mistake, we can still get married."

This man who had broken his ribs during flight training and didn't shed a tear, actually cried now

If a man cries, it means he has a weak spot, and Sophie and the child must be his weak spot.

I looked at his trembling shoulders and suddenly laughed.

"Okay, I'll admit my mistake."

He was visibly relieved, "We'll go to the hospital now."

As he said that, he was going to hold my hand.

I shook it off expressionlessly: "I can walk by myself."

"Okay," he nodded, but then urged anxiously, "Hurry up, I'm afraid Sophie will have a breakdown..."

As soon as we reached the door of the emergency room, Sophie fell to her knees and hugged my legs tightly, "Sister Audrey, please, I'm willing to give you my life, as long as the baby is safe."

She cried heartbreakingly and her whole body was shaking.

I was so angry that I laughed and reached out to pull her.

"Stop pretending. I should be the one kneeling. I beg Miss Yang to spare me. I don't want Alexander anymore. I'll give it to you."

She raised her head suddenly, a glimmer of triumph flashed in her eyes, and then immediately changed into a look of horror.

"No, it's not. Brother Alexander will always be yours. How dare I have such ambitions? I just want to live a quiet life with my baby."

"Get up!" I completely lost my patience.

She suddenly grabbed my hand and I shook it off in disgust.

She used the force to fall backwards, the back of her head hitting the floor with a thud, and she let out a shrill cry.

"That's enough!" Alexander rushed over to help her up, looking at me as if I were a scary monster. "Audrey, if you don't want to apologize, don't come! Sophie just gave birth and the baby is still in critical condition. How can you bear to bully her?"

I lowered my head, not really knowing what else to say.

Anyway, he wouldn't believe it, right?

After a long silence, Alexander smiled self-deprecatingly.

"Forget it. What else do I expect you to explain? I saw you hurt Sophie and the child time and time again. Go back. You'll only cause trouble if you stay here."
