Chapter 2

As the words landed, Savannah’s head buzzed and she instinctively turned to look at Tobias.

But the voice she heard was filled with tender affection.

"Of course you can. If you hadn’t pulled me up back then, I wouldn’t be where I am today. So do whatever you want."

Then he turned to Savannah. "Drink all this wine to repay the hundred thousand you owe me."

At that moment, Savannah felt like she had plunged into an ice-cold abyss.

No one knew better than Tobias that she was allergic to alcohol. If she drank all of it, she might lose half her life.

Back then, when she had a severe allergic reaction, he had stayed up night after night to watch over her, crying, swearing he’d never let it happen again.

But now, he couldn’t care less.

A sharp pain pierced Savannah’s heart.

But she quickly reminded herself she had already agreed to Rafael Raven’s proposal. She would be leaving here soon.

Before that, she needed to clear the debt and completely sever ties with Tobias.

Raising her head, Savannah looked at the two of them acting intimately, her eyes turning icy cold.

"Two hundred thousand. I’ll drink right now."

Perhaps not expecting her reaction, a flash of anger crossed Tobias’s eyes.

"Savannah, you really are obsessed with money."

"Fine, but you better not leave a single drop."

Receiving a definite answer, Savannah said nothing more. She stepped forward, silently picked up a wine glass and began drinking one cup after another.

The fiery liquid burned her throat the moment it slid down.

Before long, her throat felt clogged and her breathing grew rapid.

Nausea surged up and she dry heaved uncontrollably, yet she never stopped. Her trembling hand gripped the edge of the table tightly.

Clearly, it was Tobias who forced her into this, yet his expression grew darker and darker.

When Savannah reached her twentieth glass, Tobias gritted his teeth and squeezed out a sentence.

"Savannah, do you really want to sever ties and pay off your debts with me so badly that you would drink yourself to death?"

By then, Savannah’s face had turned crimson, rashes blooming across her skin.

She raised her head and locked eyes with Tobias, her voice hoarse but firm.

"Yes."

Saying that, she reached for another glass, but Tobias enraged, snatched it from her hand and smashed it onto the floor.

The glass shattered into pieces and Tobias’s face turned as black as ink.

"Stop drinking and get the hell out!"

In an instant, Savannah felt all the strength drain from her body and she staggered back two steps.

But she still forced herself to stand firm and confirmed with Tobias once more.

"Even if I didn’t finish drinking, can the two hundred thousand still be counted?"

Finally, Tobias let out a furious laugh.

"Savannah, I despise you more and more."

"It counts as long as you immediately get out of my sight."

Tobias still seemed about to say something when Tessa’s coquettish voice called from behind him.

"Tobias, don’t bother with her. I’m wearing the new lingerie I bought today. Do you want to see it?"

Upon hearing this, Tobias’s breathing grew heavier and lust filled his eyes.

He no longer spared a glance at Savannah nor noticed her trembling uncontrollably as she turned and left.

Savannah used the last of her strength to walk out of the private room.

As soon as she closed the door behind her, she collapsed against the wall, vomiting violently.

Inside the room, the others had already left, giving Tobias and Tessa their private space.

Through the thin door, Savannah could still hear Tobias’s lustful voice.

"Baby, you’re sticking it out so high; I really like it."

"Buy more of this kind of lingerie next time, or it won’t be enough for me to tear."
