On her way to a crucial pregnancy check-up, a torrential downpour strikes. Her husband, Kyrie Orton, suddenly abandons her on the roadside under the guise of an urgent corporate crisis. Forced to walk, she slips in the mud after a terrifying clap of thunder, resulting in the tragic loss of her unborn child. Alone and grieving in the hospital, her calls to Kyrie go unanswered. The devastating truth emerges on social media: Kyrie's emergency was a lie fabricated to comfort Sue Windy.

After Divorce, My Secret Identity Revealed Chapter 1

On the way to the pregnancy check-up, it suddenly started to rain heavily.

Kyrie Orton received a phone call and said that the company had an urgent matter to deal with, so he left me halfway and asked me to go to the hospital by myself.

It was difficult to get a taxi on a rainy day, so I had to hold an umbrella and walk towards the hospital.

I was frightened by the sudden thunder so that I slipped and fell in the mud, followed by a severe pain in my abdomen.

When I was taken to the hospital by some kind people, my baby was premature dead already.

I was lying on the hospital bed, crying and calling Kyrie, but he didn't answer.

That night, I saw a post from Sue Windy on Instagram.

[Thunderstorms are the most horrible things. Fortunately, someone is here to accompany me, otherwise I would be scared to death tonight!]

In the photo, Kyrie's profile was easy to recognize.

It turned out that the company emergency was all fake. He suddenly left me behind just to be with his Miss. Right!

I cried for the child all night, while Kyrie stayed with Sue at the same time.

The next day, Kyrie called.

"Sue is not in good health and needs my care. You are so strong and can handle everything by yourself."

"Kyrie Orton, let's get a divorce."

After waking up, I said this sentence lightly to the phone.

Kyrie and I were childhood sweethearts and grew up together.

We had known each other for fifteen years, and I had liked him for fifteen years. All the feelings in my youth were related to him.

He was phlegmatic so he rarely responded to my admiration.

Later, when my family went bankrupt and everyone advised him to stay away from me, he resisted all the pressure, married me, and even helped my family solve its debts.

At that moment, I naively thought that it was my love that moved him, and he would eventually become the Mr. Right that belonged to me alone.

Kyrie's company had a lot of affairs, and I couldn't get involved. After marriage, I tried not to cause him any trouble.

I was the one who took care of all the chores at home; when I had a cold or fever, I went to the hospital by myself; even when I got into a traffic accident and someone tried to extort money from me, I bought the insurance myself, called the police, and argued with that guy.

I once thought that as long as I was strong enough so that I didn't hold his back, and didn't cause him trouble, my sincerity would always be able to melt his ice.

In the end, my strength became the sharp sword that he used to stab me.

After hanging up the phone, Kyrie sent me with a lot of messages.

[April Lee, what are you doing?]

[Isn't it just asking you to go for a prenatal checkup? Is it necessary to do this?]

"It's not necessary."

I looked at the two messages on the screen and could even imagine how impatient he looked.

In the past, I would admit my mistake first, and then try my best to make him happy.

Years of the habits had led me to always put his feelings first, and as a result, I ignored my own feelings.

After putting down my phone, I got up and went to the front desk to go through the discharge procedures. Unexpectedly, I heard a familiar voice in a medical room.

"Sue, stop making trouble and let the doctor diagnose you."

Then, her soft voice came, "Kyrie, I heard that as long as you give birth to a child, you won't have dysmenorrhea. I wonder if that's true?"

He said lovingly, "Being pregnant is very hard, you should just take your medicine obediently."

When I heard this, I felt a sharp pain.

In the early stages of my pregnancy, I had severe pregnancy reactions. I had acid regurgitation all day and all night, couldn't eat anything, and sometimes my feet were so swollen that I couldn't wear shoes. I cried when I saw my body suddenly gaining weight.

He never cared about me.

He always sits by the computer and says, "You have your aunt to take care of you, so why should you be so pretentious?"

But all I wanted was a concerned look from him, that's all.

Now, when Kyrie looked at Sue tenderly, I realized that he was not cold-hearted.

He just didn't love me.

At this moment, I suddenly felt that my persistence for more than ten years was nothing but a joke.

I stopped looking at them and turned to leave.

Just at this moment, Sue called me.

"April, why are you here too?"
