Chapter 2

This was the largest hotel in the city. At this moment, guests were stopped to see what happened.

They only listened to Fiona's words and pointed at me to scold me.

"I was wondering why the hotel didn't allow a block booking today. It turns out that there's a big show going on inside!"

"A funeral can be held after a long death? It's the first time I've heard this kind of thing. Mistress nowadays are making money shamelessly!"

"Why don't they do something else for being so young? If her mother knew that she ruined someone else's marriage, she would be so angry to death!"

Hearing this, Fiona raised her chin proudly.

She was thirsty after saying so much, so she went straight to the table, picked up the wine glass, and drank it up.

The guests at the table immediately got up and get away from her few meters away.

Their words were full of malicious suspicion.

They all thought that I divorced because my husband found out that I was a mistress so they pointed at me and scolded me directly.

"I'd advise you not to push your luck," I said with a frown, "you can call Landon and ask him who's the mistress!"

As I finished speaking, Fiona's eyes were suddenly filled with anger.

She picked up another glass and threw it at me.

The haute couture worth hundreds of thousands of dollars was destroyed in an instant. If I hadn't dodged quickly, the glass would have hit me!

I took a few deep breaths to suppress my anger.

However, She still said to the net friends in her broadcast room:

"Did you see that? Those who can be mistresses are really thick-skinned!"

"The evidences are right in front of her, but she didn't admit it! No wonder she is a divorced old woman. She have a really good psychological quality!"

Then, she turned to me and shouted: "Call the hotel staff over now! I want you to give the money back! Give my husband's money back! Or you'll have to pay for it and then go to jail!"

"He was softhearted about your mother's early death died. Aren't you sure of this? I won't give you a chance to pretend to be pitiful!"

I was so angry that my face turned red.

"Give you the money? You don't have the right to speak at my mother's funeral! Get out of here now, or I'll call the police!"

If it weren't for the discovery of Landon's affair, my mother wouldn't have died of illness on the spot!

He owed me the money to give my mother a decent funeral!

Fiona's eyes widened and she stared at her phone:

"Did you hear that? The mistress is going to call the police. I'm so scared!"

"She still pretended that the funeral is real. We'll see when the police came who is the one to be taken away!"

As Fiona finished speaking, she winked at the bodyguards behind her.

"You don't want to give the money back, do you? Then I will smash all the things my husband ordered!"

In an instant, dozens of strong bodyguards rushed into the hall.

All guests were scared out of their wits and left.

I roared angrily, but I could only watch as they knocked over tables one after another.

I was helpless.

The scene of my breaking down was captured by Fiona in the broadcast room, and she laughed more and more wildly.

At the front of the hall, a photo of my mother was still there.

Seeing that someone was about to hit the photo, I hurriedly said: "Enough! Enough! Don't you just want money? I'll give it to you!"

"I'll just pretend I never had the money and give it to you!"

The bodyguards turned a deaf ear to my words.

The scene was in a mess.

The staff rushed over and held my mother's photo and ashes in their arms. They were panicked and had nowhere to hide.

Fiona sneered and crossed her arms in front of her chest.

"Now you know you're wrong? Why didn't you think about what would happen when you were a mistress?"

"You decided to give me money? Aren't you giving my husband money to me? Do you have any shame?"

"Let me tell you, it's too late to say anything now! I will smash them all! Don't leave any thing full!"

I was so angry. I could tell that the problem lay with her.

So I rushed straight at her the next second.

I reached out to grab her phone, but was quickly stopped by the bodyguards next to her.

I was lifted up.

Fiona covered her mouth and pretended to be surprised to show her scare in front of the camera.

"My friends, this mistress just wanted to attack me. Is there any justice in this world?"

"What do you think I should do? She didn't pay back my husband's money, and now she wants to hit me! I'm so scared!"

Though she said that she was afraid, she walked towards me.

She bent down to pick up a full plate and slapped it on my face with all her strength.

The porcelain plate shattered in an instant, and a bloody wound appeared on my face.

Blood oozed out.
