After Breaking Up, She Regrets It
Chapter 6
I was wiping off the grease from the table with a cloth.
Hearing what she said, I did not react like before, getting flustered and eager to express my love for her.
I threw the trash into the bin by my feet and said.
"Forget it. I'm not available."
Valery did not expect me to refuse so bluntly.
"What's wrong? Are you that busy lately?"
I did not want to tell her about my transfer to the branch office. I knew her very well, and she would probably make a big deal out of it.
"If you're busy, it's okay. I'll wait for you."
"It's too much trouble. Too many people. I'm not going."
If this had been done before, I would have agreed without hesitation.
After all, everyone knew how possessive I was of her.
I could barely stand not being by her side at all times, playing the role of her knight in shining armor.
Valery stomped her foot, venting her frustration. "But everyone else is bringing their boyfriends!"
I did not want to keep arguing about this, so I turned and headed to the bathroom.
Having faced rejection from me time and time again, she was feeling upset.
As I closed the bathroom door, she grabbed her bag and prepared to leave.
"Fine, if you won't come, I'll have Brock go with me!"
