Chapter 2

Three years ago, the Shawn Group was on the brink of going bankrupt. Seeing so, Jacob distanced himself from Tina and left her in the ditch.

He broke off the engagement with Tina and blocked all her contact information.

Tina broke down, either physically or mentally.

Overnight, she, a once highly regarded young lady from a rich family, was down to the bottom.

Her friends avoided her. No one dared to lend her money.

When I found her, she was drunk in a bar, with a few bad guys by her side taking advantage of her.

I had secretly fallen for her a long time ago. Both Jacob and I met her in college.

I couldn't be indifferent to her!

I took out all the money I had saved with great effort, gave up starting my business, and helped the Shawn Group make a comeback.

Tina knew nothing. I did everything myself.

I stayed up all night with her to write a proposal. I almost got hit by a car when running errands.

I drank with clients until I had a stomach bleed. I drank all the alcohol on behalf of Tina so that she didn't have to drink.

I always protected her behind me and took care of everything for her.

We went through thick and thin together. We became closer and closer. Finally, Tina agreed to be my girlfriend.

At that time, the Shawn Group got rid of the bankruptcy crisis.

I couldn't help myself anymore. I kicked the door open while they were having a lively and cheerful time.

In an instant, they were all silent inside. Everyone turned their heads to look at me.

Tina sat next to Jacob. They were so close to each other that Tina almost sat on Jacob's lap.

Jacob placed his hand on her leg, rubbing it without a sense of propriety.

I threw the cake in my hands on the ground, staring straight at Tina. She dared not look at me. Besides feeling shocked, she was avoiding me.

She didn't expect me to come back suddenly and catch her off guard! She looked down, realizing that the way she sat with Jacob would make others misunderstand them.

But she didn't stand up and leave. She just sat there.

Her best friend was the first to react, saying, "You are such a jinx. Speak of the devil, here comes the devil."

She joked with a group of people who had just mocked me, trampling my dignity on the ground.

She had always criticized me in front of Tina, trying to sow discord between me and Tina.

I didn't care about that rubbish. I asked Tina, "Didn't you say you don't like others kissing your lips? Don't you hate others touching your nose? Then why can he do it, but I can't?"

Others were babbling. I smashed a wine bottle on the ground. Seeing that I was angry, they stopped talking.

Tina saw me getting angry. She flew into a rage too, saying, "I was drunk and dizzy. That's why I acted like that."

"Are you sure you're drunk? You seem perfectly sober." I didn't want to hear her explanation, so I exposed her.

I embarrassed her in front of everyone. Tina got so angry. Her face turned red.

"Do you want to know the truth? Alright, I'll tell you why."

"Because the person I love has always been him. Every girl likes to give her first love all her beauty. I'm no exception."

Tina shouted without blushing. Jacob smirked triumphantly.
