Chapter 1

Olivia was well aware of what she needed to do when the harrowing screams pierced the air outside. Despite her father's stern instructions to remain hidden, she couldn't adhere to his command any longer, understanding that it was her time to step up and fight.

She moved resolutely towards the expansive window, crashing against the glass that shattered like fragments of diamonds in the sunlight. Ascending from a three-story height, she landed gracefully on her feet, one knee slightly touching the ground. It had been weeks since she obediently stayed in her room, secluded from the ongoing turmoil outside, following her father's directives. Her parents, dear to her heart and formidable warriors, were fiercely fighting to protect her and their pack.

As the marauders spotted her, they began advancing towards her. The air around her resonated with a primal howl, and she stood there, exuding a lethal aura. Without a moment's hesitation, she struck down every rogue, steadily making her way to where she could scent her beloved mother.

What felt like an eternity passed, and she caught sight of her mother battling three rogues simultaneously. Despite the rogues lacking the muscle of typical pack warriors, they displayed a formidable strength. However, Olivia knew her mother was stronger. While her mother was a force to be reckoned with and not easily defeated, Olivia was determined to aid her.

After ensuring there were no rogues impeding her path to her mother, she sprinted towards her, swiftly seizing one of the taller rogues by the neck and snapping it without a moment's hesitation. Soon, she stood back-to-back with her mother.

When her mother realized Olivia had left the safety of her room, a growl of anger escaped her. How could her daughter put herself in such danger? Nonetheless, they could use the assistance in this dire moment. "We will discuss this later, Olivia," her mother asserted through clenched teeth. "But for now, we are at war. Stay focused." With those words, her mother returned her attention to subduing her opponent and swiftly dispatched the rogue, and Olivia followed suit, quickly neutralizing her target.

Olivia turned to embrace her mother, who reciprocated with a kiss on her forehead. However, their moment was abruptly interrupted by an unexpected attack. Her mother's expression shifted to one of horror as she turned Olivia to face the imminent threat. A sharp dagger, shining a malevolent red, was hurled towards them by the rogues.

This was no ordinary dagger; it gleamed ominously, seemingly draining the life from her mother. As it pierced her, it shone even brighter and disintegrated into red dust. Olivia clutched her weakening mother in her small arms, sinking to the ground in utter horror. Pain rippled through her own body as she witnessed her mother's struggle for breath. "No, no, no..." she whispered in distress.

Three figures stood in the shadows of the distant trees, hidden from view. They believed the goddess would not permit harm to befall a child, unaware that the child in danger was her own.

Witnessing the goddess fall, they knew her mate would now be vulnerable. With their victory assured, they wasted no time in retreating from the red healer's territory. Olivia heard her mother's labored breaths, her eyes struggling to stay open. "My dear sweet child," her mother whispered, their bond palpable even in this dire moment.

"Shhh, its ok. Everything is okay. You are safe." Until then Olivia didnt even realise that she was shuddering as she continued to say no.

"You must protect the werewolf world. Reunite them for they have forgotten that they are all but one. You are stronger than you think...more powerful" Her breath was rasp but she still continued "Destiny has great plans for you, my dear. You will rule with great people beside you-"

She took another short painful breath "You are the daughter of the goddess herself. Do not live for revenge for they dont seek the truth. Punish only those that deserve it. My death should not blind you but be a path for future" tears slipped off her eyes.
