A Firm Decision:No More Second Chances
Chapter 1
My favorite singer was going to hold a concert, and I planned to go with my husband, Charles Hansen.
He complained that I was too childish and said he had no time to accompany me to such a boring event.
I went to the concert alone, but during the fan interaction segment, I saw Charles and his dream girl, Camilla Irving, on the big screen.
After the concert, I sought him out to ask what was going on, but Camilla took advantage of the chaos and pushed me down hard.
I was in so much pain that I couldn't get up, but he thought I was just acting and went after Camilla instead.
Later, I was taken to the hospital by a good Samaritan, and I lost the two-month pregnancy.
That evening, I saw a tweet from Camilla.
[Having someone accompany me to a concert is such a joyful thing.]
The accompanying photo showed her holding the singer's autograph and a close-up picture with Charles.
This time, I didn't cry or make a scene. Instead, I casually liked the tweet.

I stayed in the hospital for three days, and Charles didn't even call once.
After being discharged, I dragged my weak body home alone.
As soon as I opened the door, I saw Charles and Camilla sitting intimately on the sofa, laughing and chatting.
Upon seeing me, Charles' smile faded, replaced by impatience and disgust.
"Where have you been? Camilla came to visit, so go make dinner.
"You didn't clean the house or make the bed. Am I married to a useless person?"
I replied calmly, "I was in the hospital."
He paused for a moment, then grew even more impatient.
"You just had a stomachache. There was no need to be hospitalized. You are too dramatic. Such a waste of money."
I glanced at the gloating Camilla and coldly said, "So, taking her to the concert wasn't a waste of money?"
Camilla feigned understanding. "Elena, blame me if you want. I asked Charley to accompany me to the concert."
Charles immediately shielded Camilla with his arm and scolded, "You better not talk like that. Camilla is different from you. She has been working hard here all alone without any friends. I was just accompanying her to a concert. why are you so angry?"
Charles probably forgot that I had also given up everything for him, staying all alone in this city.
I momentarily lost focus, and the examination report and medical case slipped from my hands.
Camilla quickly grabbed it.
After looking it over, she exclaimed, "Oh my? Elena, you had a miscarriage?"
Charles appeared shaken for a moment, but Camilla continued, "I only lightly pushed you that day. You wouldn't have deliberately forged a fake medical report to frame me, would you?"
She turned to look at Charles, her face innocent, "Charley, I remember you said Elena has a difficult conception constitution. You've been married for three years, and she hasn't gotten pregnant. Isn't it too coincidental?"
Charles believed Camilla's words and glared at me.
"Elena, even if you're jealous, you should have a bottom line. How could you resort to framing Camilla like this? It's disgusting.
"You should reflect on yourself at home."
Saying this, he wrapped his arms around Camilla's slender waist and spoke softly, "Come on, I'll take you out for a nice meal."
