Get AuroraWatch UK status alerts to warn of possible sightings

Aurora Watch UK позволяет отслеживать геомагнитную активность и сообщит, когда полярное сияние МОЖЕТ быть видно из Великобритании.
Получайте оповещения о повышении геомагнитной активности — срабатывают при изменении уровня статуса AuroraWatch; это указывает на относительную вероятность наблюдения полярного сияния в Великобритании.

Aurora Watch НЕ является приложением для прогнозирования.

Если вы не получаете оповещения, проверьте Настройки/Уведомления/Настройки приложения вашего телефона и убедитесь, что уведомления для Aurora Watch UK не отключены.
Приложение не предупреждает исторически. Если ваш телефон выключен или не может подключиться к Интернету, когда статус повышается, но уровень снижается до следующего обновления данных, вы не получите оповещения.
Перед отправкой оповещений происходит необходимая задержка, поскольку данные должны «стабилизироваться», как рекомендует Ланкастерский университет.
Оповещения, предоставляемые Ланкастерским университетом, как правило, по умолчанию используют их Ланкастерский магнитометр для оповещения, хотя у них есть и другие; самое главное — на Шетландских островах. Естественно, вероятность увидеть полярное сияние на Шетландских островах выше, но поскольку эти данные (обычно) не используются, предупреждения немного более «пессимистичны». Это подходит для тех из нас, кто живет в Англии, но в меньшей степени для тех, кто живет дальше на севере.
