Farkle, или Farkel, — это игра в кости, которая также называется или похожа на 1000/5000/10000, Cosmic Wimpout, Greed, Hot Dice, Squelch, Zilch, Zonk или Darsh.
В Farkle играют два или более игроков, причем каждый игрок по очереди бросает кости. Ход каждого игрока приводит к подсчету очков, и очки каждого игрока накапливаются до некоторой выигрышной суммы (обычно 10 000). В начале каждого хода игрок бросает все кости одновременно из стакана. После каждого броска один или несколько кубиков для подсчета очков должны быть отложены (см. разделы о подсчете очков ниже). Затем игрок может либо закончить свой ход и забрать накопленные очки, либо продолжить бросать оставшиеся кости. Если игрок забил все шесть костей, у него есть «горячие кости», и он может продолжить свой ход новым броском всех шести костей, добавляя очки к уже накопленным. Нет ограничений на количество «горячих кубиков», которые игрок может бросить за один ход. Если ни один из кубиков не выбил ни одного, игрок «выпал», и все очки за этот ход теряются. В конце хода игрока кубики передаются следующему игроку по очереди (обычно по часовой стрелке), и он ходит. Как только игрок набирает выигрышное количество очков, у каждого другого игрока есть последний ход, чтобы набрать достаточно очков, чтобы превзойти этот рекорд
